PSP Slim with a Digital TV Tuner

Man this has to be the coolest accessory any portable gaming console can get, a TV tuner so you can catch up with some Anime after a heavy session of Metal Gear Solid. Not much info is available on the PSP-S310 except that it will be available when the PSP Slim goes on sale in September 20th and will cost 6980 Yen ($ 58). The unit has an extendable antenna and is the same size as the PSP camera unit. Sadly the unit will work in Japan, as it is the only place where you get One-Seg terrestrial digital broadcasts. If only you can record TV content on the Memory Stick. I wonder what Nintendo has in store for the DS.

Finally some more dope on the Sony PSP-S310 which adds Digital TV for the PSP. It connects to the USB terminal on top of the unit and requires Memory Stick Duo to function. The PSP-S310 supports program schedule however video recording and EPG (Electronic programming guide) is not supported. The unit measures 55×31.8×14.2mm and weighs 17 grams. Battery performance is not known yet.

i too realized recently that one can actually watch the UMD movies widout cribbing bout the screen size .. as i used to think earlier..

u get pretty engrossed watching the movie and u tend to 4get its a small screen..

The screesn is just fab , have watched trailors on this screen and i had a gr8 experience.

I always had plans to get a PSP but i always ended up getting some other stuff

like my Mx5021 and P990i so had to drop the idea of getting a PSP.
