Ok man....just got my 1st OC BSOD.....:ohyeah:

OCed from 15.5X( 3.1GHz ) upto 16.5X( 3.3GHz) running 1 minute OD Stability tests....:cool2:

Got BSOD while testing at 17X ( 3.4GHz )....all this at Vcore: 1.3V

What should be my next step...(will try again tomorrow ofcourse;) ).....

Thanks in advance....:thanx:

Up the Vcore... Those athlons and phenoms can be easily taken till 1.4v

May I know what was that for?? I guess you said this coz Asus Pc probe is showing 40C CPU temp whereas Core temp is showing 28C... They both are correct. Core temp shows the temperature of individual core whereas ASUS PC probe shows temperature of CPU die as shown by BIOS...

Ok....apologize to ASUS for my comment....

What are the limits for per core temp and cpu die temp.....?

Atleast I can at monitor the CPU die temp using PC Probe II because AOD does not detect per core temps(greyed out) and shows incorrect cpu die temp(-294.xxC)....

Why are you so worried bro :) Anyways CPU temp should ideally be below 65C on load. Core temp below 45C-50C on load..

I do some important work on my pc....so don't want to fry/damage the cpu due to any silly mistake/ignorance....:)

Why do you need to OC your processor if you do normal work on your PC?? If you dont game then you dont have to play around with OC :)

Latest results:

Went upto 3.6GHz but required 1.4V to stabilize.....:hap2:

3.7GHz crashes with 1.4V....

Will try 1.45V tonight......:P

hi again...OCing is on hold for a while now......

I have found out that my cabby has a space for 80mm/120mm fan on the front which i hadn't noticed:facepalm::rolleyes::chair::death:

Thus I will be buying a 120mm fan and remove the extra wire mesh I added earlier (View attachment 18584)

Phew....!!!!!
