ofcourse ,seasons are there.atleast in kerala.but you should not interpret the way Europeans does :P

Kerala:

its raining from mid-may to end of august.hence winter .

from August to October it can be called autumn.

November and December are cooler.hence spring :D

January mid to april it is summer(but with occassional rains for sure!).:tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue:

Its raining here; :yahoo:

The smell of the wet-earth's lingering in my room; :cupidon:

Ok, let's settle on the defintion of a season first, if you read the wiki you will find it defined thus

"Seasons happen due to the yearly revolution of the Earth around the Sun and the tilt of the Earth's axis relative to the plane of revolution. In Temperate and Polar regions, the seasons are marked by changes in the amount of sunlight which may cause animals to go into hibernation or to migrate, and plants to be dormant."

Marked in bold is what you take away from that defintion

Now the reason you *do* take the european defintion of season or that of any other people that live in the temperate zones of this world is because they *actually* experience them, whereas..

"In the tropics, there is no noticeable change in the amount of sunlight."

therefore no seasons, in the usual conventional sense.

But climate OTOH certainly can & does vary

"The seasons in the tropics are not marked by temperature but by the combination of trade winds taking water from the oceans and creating seasonal rains called monsoons over the eastern coasts."

As i said before hot or not or raining season. As for autumn i think you need to spend some time in a country that actually *does* have an autumn to realise that no way can Kerala of all places ever have one!

I don't blame you this is something that needs to be tackled on an educational level as most ppl i discussed this with from South India had nfi what i was on about.
