Rakhi time - which touchscreen phone to gift my sister

its rakhi time... time to get empty on the pockets...

after my sis lost her 3rd cell in less than 2 years (luckily max the phone cost was 7k), i have been entrusted again to gift her a new one... and this time she made clear she would only accept a good touchscreen phone..

requirements
decent music playback...
good screen size min 2.8inch
wm based
htc preferred

was looking for htc touch.. but then realised it does not have 3G... if any other good phone from htc available with quad band and 3G... plus comes in the small form factor then wow...

else i will go for HTC only...

budget including the 4gb card : 18k max ... 16k happy...

also which specific vendor card to use for no lags in the speed...???

kinda hurry.. gonna take it before friday...
 
@bombaybaba: looking for only wm based phones coz it has good third party apps availability...

@archat68 : but it only has 64mb / 128mb ram/rom ... :-(

with similiar features to htc touch + 3G + quad band, any other wm based vendor mobiles would also do......
 
she wants only wm6 based phone.. she liked the interface... will ask her but i doubt... its gonna be only wm based... cant argue with her much.. ;-)
 
also SE G900 is a also a good touchscreen phone with 5mp cam and regular buttons(good for messaging n stuff) n symbian UIQ
 
its pretty difficult to convince my sis... plus u know how girls mind works when it comes to gadgets... look does it all... she liked the wm interface and then it was period.... it had to be the wm interface... :-(

although i liked the se g900 phone though.. how much it retails for..???
 
buy the htc touch and get a 8 gb card is ur best bet. the form factor is great and even though 200 mhz procy may sound slow, the latency though three is not actually very huge.

as far as card goes sandisk is the only thing which will offer u a card of that capacity.
 
^^^ dont put in the 8gb card, it slow down the phone very much... put in a 4gb at max if you have to in the htc touch...

plus i think the wm interface is geek friendly and not user friendly... so will ur sis be able to use it and not keep cursing herself for not being able to perform a particular function on the phone
 
U dont have many choices for WM phones from HTC in that budget range.

If 3350 is out then ur option is limited to Touch (3452).

Else try SE p1i - nice phone, I,ve used it myself.
 
4b card would do fine.... i think then i will have to do with the HTC touch...

can i make it fast with custom rom and overclock the proci to 250mhz.. will that be stable...???

Also on second thoughts, which is the best wm6 phone available in the market which will give the following features...

2.8 inch screen

zappy proci

3g + wifi

increase budget to 22k (incl 4gb card)
 
my favourite.. HTC P3400i ... now comes with WM6 .. and cost is 11-12k only :)... no wifi, no 3G, great camera for a 2mp, big screen, and a lot of features.

okie only 64mb ram... bulky and poor multimedia... although nice proci speed... any other model from asus to check out??
 
I dont think Asus phones has that *girlish* look in them.
I Guess Sony P1i is a very good option in that price range.
