Hi all,

Just going to Nehru Place in an hour, wanted to know the best shop to buy Laptop ram from...

Oh and btw, if anyone knows what brand of ram does dell use in the Inspirons/XPS, that info would be really helpful...

Any brand will do. Get any decent brand you can find :)
 
OK! I didnt buy the ram yesterday, as I am going to do that today...

I got 1890/- for Transcend 2GB DDR2 667 SO-DIMM from C2C, 1950/- from CE, didnt go to SMC...

And I found the ram brand, its Hynix...

so I know the answer, but I just need to be sure, will a Transcend and a Hynix work in Symmetric Dual-Channel mode?

Jus a further question..

Do the memories need to be of same size fore them to be in dual channel??
Say if one is 1gb/512mb and the other 2gb??

Dont think that ll work. similar modules are required. e.g.: both 1Gb or both 512Mb etc.
