Honestly the benchers still prefer the teamxtremes over cellshocks.

And its all about economics.

A normal user who wont be doing too much more than 1000Mhz wont buy axerams at this premium anyway. Only benchers who desperately want them would :P

Axeram became popular only because of their cost benefits and vfm. A normal user is better off with PSC based sticks which are dirt cheap now.
 
death to those who speak against cellshocks! Cellshocks own team memory in everyway... Teams used to go kaput afaik very few cellshocks went kaput :P

Who cares about 2 sec benches anyway. Not anyone who uses a machine for any constructive use :P.
 
well i dont have cellshocks or axe ram, but the rams i have is kingston value ram 533mhz which does 900mhz 5 5 5 15 at 2.2 v :P

please do show us the power of your cellshock kit by posting some nice screenies? Mebbe some ddr2 1500+ screenies? Or ddr2 1000+ 3-3-3-8? Oh and a simple pi 8m run is enough cuz as you said, all I care abt is 2 sec benches.Surely this wonderful ram with a ‘8 layer pcb‘ and german engineering won’t die so easily with high volts will it? :P
and re. the count, sure! lets start it, i have a kit, amey has 2 kits, harshal has a couple i think, edrill has one. none of which has died iirc
and coming to cellshock, i dunno how many people here have them but iirc bottles pc2 6400 kit had died hadnt it?

i do know that worldwide team rams *might* have a higher failure ratio but thats only cuz ppl tend to push insane volts in them due to their ocing reputation but then again i admit that cellshock build quality is awesome, ive seen ppl push 3.4v through them :) but their pricing is simply atrocious :no:
the pc2 8000 kit you have was a dream kit no doubt but horrendously priced
btw also do check out the number of FS:Cellshock Ram threads in the market section (including one of sandys :P) most of which are unsuccessful in trying to sell off their rams at ridiculous prices

AxeRAM is good man.. and I have seen 620MHz Pi32M also.. but the point is Cellshock here I guess. It was costing a BOMB compared to others.
Cellshock are good but Team's, Crucial's and Corsair's D9GMH kits which I have had chance to play with were same if not better for sure.
Here is what I had done with what we call nominal volts for DDR2 almost a year ago.
RAM: Corsair 9136C5D D9GMH ;)
MB: Foxconn MARS
2.1xV [MARS BIOS shows 2.11V actually] This I guess qualifies for a ok ok stress test.

2.42V MAX-Freq

D9 Hz Blacks were killers too. :hap2:
Till retailers ramped up the prices insanely or held onto high pricing while everything else became far cheaper and 2x2GB far more popular. :)

History has a cruel way of repeating itself.
Always wished they had 2x1GB TCCD earlier (2x512 TCCD was pricier than most 2x1GB others at one time. :P) and maybe 2x2GB D9 GKX/GMH now. :lol:
 
Well, I sold my HZs (1000, CL4, 2.1v) for a throwaway 2.8k. Thought it was reasonable. Oh well, each unto himself I guess.

I'd a kit which was bought for close to ~7k and sold it for 3.5k; never bothered to wait to get a good deal. :|

I guess Arya, who's my kit now is happy with those. No clue if he's it or someone else! :P
