CPU/Mobo Raspberry Pi queries

Getting Sony CP-AD2 @ Rs. 560 after 15% discount.

http://www.ebay.in/itm/Sony-CP-AD2-...169848?hash=item2ca38825f8:g:NdcAAOSwo0JWKgTX

The seller has good feedback and his listing seems to be selling original product with 1 Year Sony India Warranty.

I don't think I'll get it better than this, hence getting it. Can't wait anymore :)

Edit: Apparently, the above link is a DEAL and hence coupons are not working. Gonna find another sale and get it.

Edit: Thinking of going with this one...

His listing is costlier by Rs. 15 but he has already sold 43 of these and received positive feedback for this product. Also sends VAT paid bill. Final Price - Rs. 590. FINALIZING THE DEAL.[DOUBLEPOST=1446183692][/DOUBLEPOST]
Can you use it as a steam downloader headless?
please help me at this thread https://www.techenclave.com/community/threads/how-to-diy-a-steam-downloader-headless.176850/

Dude Bro, if you make any headway with regards to using Rasp Pi 2 for downloading steam games, then please let me know. It would be so much better than keeping my main rig downloading 24x7.

Thanx a lot in advance bro :)

Original Sony packaging was sealed and it seems 100% original from the build quality and the holograms. Also received invoice from seller.

Overall, very satisfied with the purchase :D

Coupon Code ??
It's available without any discounts for ₹598 at Amazon.
I am suggesting Amazon because the Sony charger I had ordered from eBay is giving me low output current. Called sony cc only to find that sony won't honour warranty because the seller is not registered on their website.
Amazon because it's Amazon fulfilled. I have raised claim with eBay regarding the same.

This is only for the interest of people who will be buying the Sony charger for the rpi.

You would know that the charger is underperforming when you see a small rainbow box flashing at the top right edge of the screen.

In related news I had ordered a rpi case from AliExpress which got delivered to me last week. Very good for ₹218.

Where will I see this? In Raspbian?

I am yet to setup my Raspberry Pi 2 but will be doing it later tonight. I am following this guide...

http://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-torrentbox/

And before I do that, I have to do the first step, which is installing NOOBS...

http://pimylifeup.com/noobs-raspberry-pi/

I downloaded "NOOBS_v1_4_2.zip" which is 960 mb from the official website.

Am I on the right track? And if my charger is underperforming, then will I see that small rainbow box flashing which you've mentioned?

Edit: By the way, nice case and at a very good price :)

That rainbow square will be visible on all Linux builds.
Initially I had ordered the portronics 2.1a charger which was available cheap. Then from the suggestions here I bought the Sony charger.
Hopefully eBay will resolve the issue in my favour. If it doesn't won't buy anything electronic from eBay henceforth or will buy directly from AliExpress without warranty for cheap.

Regarding noobs I have no idea at all. My primary use for the rpi is as a media player specifically streaming via torrents.
For that purpose I use openelec or xbmc called earlier.

Well, I just read and found out that NOOBS is just an easy way to install desired operating systems on the Pi. While following the guide, I will be installing Raspbian and then either Transmission or Deluge so I can setup my Pi as a headless torrent downloader :D

By the way, I also bought my Sony charger from Ebay, from this listing...

http://www.ebay.in/itm/131610346334?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

He's sold more than 48 of them and he also sent me an invoice, and the product seems 100% genuine too. Should I be worried? Should I call Sony CC and confirm or should I straightaway raise a claim with Ebay?

Also, do you know where can I find the list of sellers registered with Sony?
