Socha Na Tha : 4/5

Just watched Socha Na Tha, Brilliant fcuking movie. Easily Imtiaz Ali's best film. I have always liked Abhay deol and watching him in this movie makes one realize how drastically he has improved his acting in the last few years. Ayesha Takia is as cute as ever, she is also a very underrated actress. The whole movie was very entertaining to watch and had some genuinely funny moments. Its situational comedy at its best. A very underrated movie, a must watch.

@Bluffy: Thank god... I was not the only one who loved Socha Na Tha. I always wondered why that movie didn't click at box office. It was funny, had a nice story and plot, the direction was good and performances weren't bad at all. The music was maybe little weak, but the title track "Socha Na Tha" is one of my fav songs. :)

^It had 2-3 decent songs and yes the title track was amazing. It was funny watching Abhay deol act since he has improved so much since Socha Na Tha. But Ayesha takia was really impressive. It was clean good fun, there are not many good movies which you can safely watch with your family these days.

Hangover - Like a bollywood blockbuster - Plus waiting for atleast one bollywood remake makes it even more painful...

Yeah, I guess it went under the radar a bit coz people hadn't seen much of Abhay Deol at the time (probably expecting him to be a clone of the other Deols). It did have all the makings of a hit. Probably Takia's best movie too.

I watched 2 movies back to back last night

1) Layer Cake - 9 out of 10

One of the best film in the themes of gangster crime/drug mafia/con-man

Daniel Craig was absolutely fantastic in this flick(supposedly, this movie gave the Daniel the attention needed for getting selected into James Bond role)

2) John Carpenter's They Live - 5 out of 10

The story had the potential but somehow john missed it to develop properly. TBH, this movie sucked big time for me except for the excellent BGM(by John Carpenter himself) and camera work. The screenplay had too many plot holes with acting front nothing great to write home about(Keith David was awesome though).
