Nothing yank about a Guy Ritchie movie .vishalrao said:basically, a nice british tale being bastardised (as usual) by the yanks, eh?
It wasn't exactly what you'd expect a Sherlock Holmes movie to be, but as a movie in its own right, I thought it was quite brilliant.sabby said:Watched Sherlock Holmes yesterday. As a movie, I'd give it a 7.5 but as a Holmes movie it won't get higher than 5.5 ( and that too for Downey jr's acting ). The action part should have been lesser. Jude law's acting talent has been wasted by the director. And above all, the story doesn't show Holmesian deduction that much. The sign of the four or Valley of fear would have been much better choice. Relationship with Irin got extra importance.

Guess I'm late in watching this movie. However, better late than never.
The movie was really good - something that I did not expect. Uses the concept of multiverse excellently without explicitly saying so.
8/10
