This movie is an assured hit, he doesn't need to worry about that, but I never thought of Hrithik doing a no-story BS movie.

Kites - 2 out of 5

Hrithik lives in Las Vegas who give outside gals green card by marrying them of course for a fee and Barbara was prob the 10th or 11th wife . Though Barbara parted ways after getting green card , they never shared any physical relation or emotion .Hrithik wants to make fast buck and can do anything for it .

Hrithik is a dance tutor and his student Kangna Ranaut falls for Hrithik , which Hrithk dislikes but upon knowing that Kangna is the daughter of the richest Casino owner in Las Vegas he fakes his love to her . On engagement day he finds on reaching Kangna's house that his big brother was being engaged to Barbara and as u see in the trailer , sms n cute smiles r exchanged . Mind it Barbara and Hrithik r not divorced yet and they didn't want to either.

The difficulty in their relationship, aside from not having a common language, is that they are both marrying into a family of mobsters that rules Vegas. This is, apparently, an alternate Vegas, where the mobsters are all Indian and the police officers make fleeting appearances only when the mobsters have need of them.

Barbara eloped with Hrithik later. Kangna and her big bro humiliated by this sends entire Las Vegas police force after them for revenge like spoilt rich brats and then start fast paced action and chase sequences like those in the trailer for the entire second half . I think I have revealed more than enough and I won't reveal the climax

Director Anurag Basu, whose last film was the edgy and very cosmopolitan Life in a Metro, has pulled together all the right elements: big budgets, high production values, stunning locales, the expected amount of dizzying stunts, car chases and things that blow up, and, of course, pretty people falling in love. And yet instead of being moved by the story, I was thinking more about the disastrous way Anurag Basu has narrated and directed Kites. All in all this was not expected from Anurag who has directed Murder , Life in a Metro

The core of this film is a love story meant to bridge not only two cultures, but also the audiences of two film industries—and that love story just does not have enough oomph to make this film fly.

Only smooches and bikini flaunt with skin shows is not enough to make a movie a blockbuster hit . If script is weak nothing can help it

Let me tell you one thing , after this hype Kites created , after this weekend i.e. after Sunday , it'll be hard enough for Kites to stand up even

A very boring movie . I feel completely cheated :@:@:@:@

But I still think it wont atleast fail at the box office, It even has a chance of being declared a hit/super hit (which has nothing to do with how boring etc. this movie is, that is how bollywood works)

Nice review, but a factual error. The Anurag who directed Dev D was Anurag Kashyap and not Basu :)

Sorry bro , my bad . I made a fatal small mistake from my part. But all other details are intact and 100% true

Prince = BS Vivek Oberio wannabe stunts= flop
Kites = Hrithik Roshan much awaited film = not a flop atleast (But maybe declared a flop because of it not able to cover its expenses, but still I highly doubt that)
