My degree is in Character Animation, but I also do some compositing and Matte Painting, just got Shake up and running on Fedora 6 :) very excited about this. Oh... and I liked Sin City too... but if you haven't seen it yet, you should see 300, the work on this is fantastic.

An absolute favorite of mine :) along with Snatch of course... though I liked Lock Stock a little better

I just watched 300 last weekend at the IMAX - OMG it is an awesome movie, but has to be seen in movie theater

The Departed - liked this movie too

Casino Royal - watched this one in HD at home - also a good movie - and great and in HD

Finally watched the Illusionist, this was a nice movie too

I want to see Meet the Robinsons in IMAX 3D - I think that would be fun... maybe next weeekend

Been there..seen tht..lol..:P

Visually 10/10.... Everything else... not my kinda movie..got bored of the fight sequences half way..they all seemed so similar.. n dont know why but i felt tht the portrayal of Xerxes was ridiculous..:P and his voice simply didnt match with his appearance..which was so... gay-ish..:P

btw, whr did u complete ur course from?

In terms of cinematography and effects, I thought this movie was great, but on the whole I liked the movie too :)

USA

Academy of Art University - used to work at Dreamworks... but mostly do freelance now :)

Btw, any1 watched Shooter..i'm reading a lot of good stuff about the movie..i'd love to watch it..but still i cud use a second opinion...so hows it?

In US

Left because the company was originally owned by another company and was bought by DreamWorks. It was a nice family of people there, and a cool atmosphere, but that turned very corporate. DreamWorks mostly bought it for proprietary software. They ended laying off half the company over a 6 month period, so decided to work for myself.

just watched 'Black Snake moan'....awesome flick..dont know why it hasnt been officially released here... Samuel L jackson is just too good in the movie... btw, think b4 u watch it with a gf.... has too much of violence and the 'ahem' stuff.....:ohyeah: neways the story is far too intense as well..

9/10...:D
 
^^Check out any of Takashi Miike's flicks and you won't be dispapointed.
Next of list however should be "Ichi the Killer"..Warning: Lotsa gore there! ;)
 
Guys, you should really attach a WARNING along with the names of such movies. Some unsuspecting poor soul may lose his/her appetite and may spend some sleepless nights shaking in disbelief, disgust and horror.
 
^^have u seen Ju-on...?? The original jap horror version..check it out if u havent already..n u wudnt be disappointed..atleast with the boo moments.. story wise i think ringu (the ring's original version) was better..

But ju-on is worth a watch..few scenes are brilliantly done..

Also check out 'Honogurai mizu no soko kara' aka Darkwater (english subs)..good for a scary evening with ur girl friend..:)

Psst: Dont download the english remakes of both these flicks...they suck big time..:no:

Imho, only The Ring was a better remake of the original..rest of the remakes suck..
 
ichi the killer , mind blowing dark humor .. reminds me of Kill Bill-1.
11:14 - smart movie .. with twisted timeline ..style simillar to inarritu's one incidence-many stories
Wild Things - basically the plot is flat except the awesome twists in the storyline ..and there are twist after twist after twists ... you will never see them coming .. good timepass flick
 
21 Grams : A Must watch ! Awesome acting , awesome Film .... 8.5/10

Man behind the Sun : Over Hyped :P .... some of the scenes were disturbing .... dat alone made d movie watchable actually .... apart frm dose scenes ... d movie is pretty booring ! N no i didn't Puke :D:D ..... 6/10
