Rate the Last Movie You Saw...

Stree 1: 6.5/10 - was good thrill/suspense for quite some part of story
Bhediya and Stree 2: 3/10 - cringe, absolute cringe

Lapata Ladies: 9/10 - simple yet great. No flashy stuff but grips story well

Frozen II: 6.5/10 - in some parts it was way too fast moving

Yeah , i think they are removing titles, there are so many that are missing from hotstar and prime.
I got both but I still end up downloading from yts and then use cast to watch on TV.

Sadness 2021

Rating: 5.5/10
Short review : Taiwanese movie which is not for most audience. Extreme gore and violence. Closest to a live action adaptation of Crossed by Garth Ennis. Just like crossed this is a dark movie where nothing good happens. Bleak and sad.

I saw the Devil 2010

Rating 9/10
Short review: Another dark korean movie which seems to be available on amazon prime. Beautiful cinematography, snow scenes look like wallpapers. Very violent and disturbing subject matter with great acting by Choi Min Suk. Nothing good happens the whole movie but it is a great thought provoking movie.

Don't Breathe - 7/10 - A decent thriller. A couple of good turns.

Kishkindha Kaandam - 8/10 - Malayalam cinema is the only current industry that is creating such quality. Though it resorts t some cheap tactics like building up GrandPa's naxal connection, Fake Army officer etc to just bait and switch to a different thing, It's still better than other lot Totally worth a watch, a gem in slow burner thrillers.

I get occasional cravings for flavorful cine-pill. I'm not an avid movie-goer or sitter and I'm out of vogue with all the latest projects releasing. Most of my watch-list is based on MUBI's curated catalogues or discovery through appreciation posts. I also have this fixation on watching adaptations. The last two sittings were spontaneous.

Good Will Hunting - I have this phrase 'Good Will Hunting' stuck in my lexicon and was surprised to see there is a motion picture based on it. Decent scrip, Crisp acting, sometimes exaggerated but an honest exploration of human decision-making and limits of rationality. Made me wish I was more capable in doing proofs though. Brain flex is the ultimate flex.

Kind of Kindness - Absurdist deluxe anthology from the Greek auteur. Great bunch of cast, unique stories. Although listed as a black-comedy, I didn't really felt the giggles as much as the horror of uncanny realist and religious undertones which violently erupted throughout storylines, alongside the body-horror elements, Easy recommendation if you like; weird films or Emma Stone, which is now probably synonymous with her role-choices in a last few years. Easy recommendation, give it a try to feel mentally nauseated.

Incendies: 9/10

Incredible movie. Keeping political things aside, it's a great movie and the twist in the ending too is profound.
After the twist it went silent and no more emotions from the actors, which I found slightly disappointed waiting if it gets more intense, or maybe something happens for closure.
If you are a fan of disturbing (psychological) movies, this is a must watch.

This movie put Dennis on my watchlist. Nonetheless, he has been putting out great movies and is truly one of the greats of our time.
