Rate the Last Movie You Saw...

But these two are great actors other wise.
Really ? What have you seen that led you to that conclusion and why ?
Although I have to agree that the lead is no Russel Crowe.

They are great actors, I agree.
But Denzel has been the same guy in every movie and has become uninteresting now.
Pedro has become overrated now, due to being too much in every other movie or show, even if that character suits him or not. He was great in GOT and Narcos.
This is just my opinion, some internet folks somehow overhype pedro for some reason, but for me watching him has become a fatigue.

Meanwhile Russel Crowe back then was a powerhouse of an actor. He suited well or made himself suit well to the character. And that was an amazing movie as well.

Watch the last of us HBO series .
Pedro has done a great job In that too.

Maybe you just don't want to see them for sometime as you might have seen quite a lot of them. So it is understandable.

It can happen with any actor and with any of us.

I too got fed up watching South Indian and Indian movies doing similar kind of action like movies that it I could not stand for 5 mins watching them Deleted many movies when I saw same kind of stuff.

Even for actors Akshay Kumar movies were coming out one after another made me want to stop watching him for quite some time.

Probably the reason.
I am one of the few people who felt pedro was miscast in last of us. Even if he acted well, he isn't the Joel I know from the game, it felt like he is a different version of Joel in a different timeline.
Watching few interviews of Denzel, sometimes brings a smile. He is something special.

Akshay, for me, has become a joke now. Either that, or an alien abducted original Akshay and gave us a similar looking fellow.

I think he is just taking any scripts coming to him .
He is going through same phase Amitabh and Mithun Da( though I am a big big Mithun Da fan) were going in early 90s doing B grade movies...Laal Badshah, Gunda, Dalaal and so on.

The idea is to make as much as possible before hanging the boots and moving to Dubai ,USA, Canada and all.

Watched a few masterpieces from Akira Kurosawa and they were all great.
1.Rashomon 7.5/10
Least liked one so far lol. First movie to show story from different persons point of view, which is now called "rashomon" effect in other movies.
some weird rape crap was going on which I didn't understood well to be honest, maybe that was the point of the show, to interpret however audience would like to.
2. Ikiru 10/10
A bit sad at times. Great acting by the main actor Takashi Shimura.
Set in a period just after WW2 shows how a bureaucrat who spent 30 years of his life doing useless bureaucratic work only to realise he had achieved nothing in his life after finding out he was dying due to cancer.
3. Seven samurai 9/10
Pretty amazing, although a bit stretched in terms of runtime.
My introduction to Akira kurosawa's legendary filmmaking and actor Toshiro Mifune who was equally as legendary (as I soon found out).
Plot consists of poor farmers tired of getting their village raided by bandits decide to hire 7 samurais to protect their land in exchange for living space and food. What stood out to me was Toshiro's wild acting as a ronin.

4. Yojimbo + Sanjuro 10/10
Both movies has the same lead character who's able to outplay his opponents and provide justice. Do you know Yojimbo also inspired another movie by the name of A fistful of dollars.
Constant outplaying and twists by Toshiro's character had me hooked in both movies. There is some comedy element as well.
5.The hidden fortress 8/10
While good it missed the mark I was looking for.
