Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: 5/10

Heard good things about this movie but watched it recently. Most of the movie felt like a snoozefest. The concept is good, but the slow pace and cinematography troubled my experience.
Maybe this movie is too outdated to watch in this era. Still not a bad movie at all, both leads did very well.

Alien : Romulus - 6/10 , I don't know what I was expecting Every alien movie seems the same now .
Transformers : One - 8/10 , It was entertaining, but changing the timeline in every movie is kinda annoying.

If anyone's looking for a sad movie, I'd recommend
"Dear Zackary"

That movie can make a grown man cry. I was sobbing and very angry watching it. Based on true story. This movie will fork you up.

A hotchpotch of incomplete story arcs and characters that spends way too much reacting to its own setups. The screenplay spends way too much time executing subpar jokes and loses its grip on the balance it needs to strike with its main plot. Mindless cameos and meta references are shoe-horned in to ensure that the audience loses at least 20% of their brain cells. The actors though give it their all in executing the said comedy making the film a bit bearable. The soundtrack is decent but nothing memorable. The sequel fails to create the atmosphere and stakes the first movie had. A disappointment over the first one to say the least.

A very generous 3.5/10.

I liked stree 1. I am not a horror guy and went to watch without watching the trailer. I was very spooked half way through ngl. Stree 2's entire trailer looked bad. The Sci fi stuff.

:D yes. the present generation of filmmaker are like that cant think anything new. pick an old plot and repackage it
6/10, good 1 time watch

Did you guys watch at a theatre or home? It is very much a theatre movie tbh - the whole vibe and cinematography lends itself to some quick action and dark scenes, perfect for theatre viewing. I'm a huge OG Alien fan, and managed to see Romulus 3 times in a theatre since we finally got an Alien movie after decades!
Some scenes are great - specially anything involving the chestbusters, and the last "Alien", but the Xenomorphs were unfortunately "just another enemy" in the movie - never got lifted to the status they are capable of, and they are shown to be a bit dumb IMO, which is absolutely lazy writing. I do agree that the movie is hotchpotch of previous concepts, but miles ahead of Alien 3 and 4, which were horrendous.
Nothing comes close to OG Alien - perfect mix of claustrophobia, horror and novelty in an almost perfect setting.
My preference is Alien > Aliens >>> Covenant > Romulus > Prometheus (only because how dumb some scientists acted)
If you're a fan of Alien franchise, I'll highly highly recommend reading Alien Omnibus comics and recent run by Marvel. They are excellent - specially short stories in Omnibuses.

Watched it at home, I didn't skip anything not even 10 seconds, but mostly it was slow, and considering how stupid decisions everyone makes in this movie, makes you think you can easily survive there.
And Come on we don't need those android in alien storyline. Their only contribution is influencing other character to die faster. And I'm sure these guys can die on their own who need android to mess something up.
