Cinematography was brilliant though.

I'm with you on this brother! My stupid brain still gets that image in my head sometimes... feel a shudder run through the entire body. Those people should have some warning text or something before these kind of scenes

wrath of titans-6.5, watched in 3d, total disaster, don't know if whole picture is in 3d or some parts, because i sure noticed non 3d scenes,(they were watchable without the glasses)

and the 3d glasses me and my friend got were faulty, i watched the first 20 minutes with them.

it was my first 3d movie, and i'm not going to watch any movie in 3d after this.

That lies on the quality and technology used by Cinema Hall, the movie cant be blamed.

Inglourious Basterds - 6/10. Lame plot. Highly overrated. The film starts great, only to lead into complete nonsense after the first 15 minutes of the movie, except some parts here and there.

It's Quentin Tarantino direction that makes you glued to the movie. Simple story with great execution. Moreover he portrayed the story & filmed, as if it was real. Have you pulp fiction? If you liked that, then you would have liked this too

Anbe Sivam - 9.5/10

There is a scene in Pithamagan when Surya is crying watching a movie. I saw Kamal Hassan & it caught my attention. I digged out more & found that movie name is Anbe Sivam. Which means Love is God & it is also names of lead characters. OMG, what a movie it is ! It is a lifetime experience. Songs, music is also really good. The story is crafted well & director has done excellent job.

The best part of the movie is Kamal Hassan & his acting. The dialogues, comedy, emotions everything is just perfect. You will be stunned when the movie ends. I am happy I saw this movie, I found a gem in Tamil.

You can find this movie with subtitles, even if you don't understand Tamil, please do watch it.

one of my personal favorites. However the theatre was half empty when i watched it on the second or first day of release. It didnt do well financial (surprisingly!!). however many scenes are lifted from planes, trains and automobiles (reason why i didnt recommend the movie eariler

^yup, it is inspired from PT&A, but it is totally different to see it in Indian contexts. I have see PT&A, the story is different. But Kamal Hassan's character against that of on PT&A, I think Kamal's character gives a greater impact.

Movies like these never make money / become commercially successful.

Do suggest me more !

TBH, I found the plot very kiddish and stupid. Here's why:-

I mean, come on, Hitler together with hundereds of Nazis is attending a stupid movie in a cinema hall which is guarded by "only" two mens? A guy just walks by and easily puts pipes on the main exit point(which is unguarded again?) to lock it and goes out of the theater? The death of Hitler and other Nazis are just lame and totally unrealistic. Also not to forget the overuse of foreign language.

BTW, I haven't seen Pulp Fiction yet, though it is under my movies-to-watch-asap list.

^ok i didn't know that, and what about the brightness?

It was good movie, i had surely enjoyed it more in 2d.

Ya most 3D movies have low brightness or rather appear darker, primary reason being the 3D glasses.

I prefer watching movies in 2D for the above reason.

Well thats why he mentioned if you like Quentin Tarantino... His movies are not meant to be realistic and the movies he likes and associates himself with are similar

Kill Bill Vol 1 and Vol 2, Death Proof, Pulp fiction, Reservior Dogs -- All have very weird story lines and larger than life characters which live beyond the movie in your head...

Samuel Jackson still quotes his famous line from pulp fiction in my head sometimes

Saw: Don 2

I will give this a whooping 9/10. It had it all. Plus PC, looked like a nice biscuit. What a tight package. Action scenes well down, superb background scene. And a nice twist of lemon at the end.

The Raid : 10/10

I don't know if this will ever release in India but if its does, make sure to see this with all your friends. My whole theater was clapping and gasping throughout this movie. One of the best pure martial arts movie ever made.
