wouldn't that place where the award ceremony will be hosted the next morning be well guarded the night before as well

I mean he is in police and so he could bypass any security gate checks and Also IMO in nights only patrolling is done no guard post is setup in ground. It took him not more than 2min to stand and point the laser.

Deva (2025) - 7/10

An interesting story carried by a solid performance by Shahid Kapoor.

One thing though (DO NOT CLICK IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE FULL MOVIE)...
During the sniper setup on the eve of the Police Gallantry award ceremony Deva visits the ground at which the Gallantry awards are to take place the next day. There the green laser beam from the sniper rifle Deva has positioned far away is clearly visible which is aimed at the podium where Rohan will stand and give his speech. Deva checks if the shot will align perfectly or not. Now my question is... wouldn't that place where the award ceremony will be hosted the next morning be well guarded the night before as well? I mean it's a show for the police after all so the presence of security personnel would be but natural. However, no guards are there at all, it's a complete graveyard and Deva roves about in his hoodie without a worry of being spotted positioning the sniper laser.
Almost identical concept with different storyline seen in Russell Crowe's Sleeping Dogs.

It's a bollywood cinema man. If this is directed as Amaran then this would have been called a copy of it.
How did Rajiv Gandhi got killed then in front of so many people and maybe it's how it was written in the script. If we see what's real and what's unreal in Bollywood Cinema and our Tollywood Cinema nobody should go to movies just to see a movie and relax. Did you see the recent Balakrishna Telugu Movie, it was bulshit but everyone saw it one netflix also but I didn't it though.

Exactly my thoughts when Shahid reveals the plot! But in movies such mistakes are pretty common and so here as well.
More to that he rented that apartment for just a few days (maybe for an entire week to set his shot accurately) well, even thats suspicious if they has investigated further which I was actually expecting when the team visits that flat with Nagesh the sniper expert! But they didn't even bothered to investigate as to who rented that flat, the owner, the motto etc. which could have been even more interesting.

Black Bag - 7/10

Slick, well made thriller. Seeing Cate Blanchett after quite a long time and she definitely looks older than 55 but beautiful nonetheless.

If you are in the mood for an action thriller then don't get into this or you will be sorely disappointed. Instead do the following:

- Take a shower.
- Sever (!) yourself from work-life completely.
- Fix yourself a drink.
- Turn on the AC.
- Put down your phone.
- Slip into the movie.
- Focus on the plot and enjoy.

Conclave (2024): Watched this for an hour but to me it seemed rather boring so gave up. Rarely do I stop watching movies midway but this didn't seem like a good choice for a light Sunday afternoon watch at all. Plus with all the talk amongst the Cardinals it made me very sleepy.

Instead, I switched to this:

Flight Risk (2025): Fun little action thriller. It's definitely no Con Air (1997) but it's not too shabby either. For a light, Sunday afternoon watch after a hearty lunch this fit the bill perfectly. Mark Wahlberg was great as always. I actually didn't know Mel Gibson directed this till the end credits came up!

This movie is pure cool vibes and aura farming combined with a personality that far exceeds the need of a coherent plot and storyline. It gives tribute to anime tropes, styles and Japanese pop culture every chance it gets, and it is just stupid endless fun to watch. Don't go into it expecting emotional punches, philosophical debate, and you will be fine. A perfect weekend watch with beautifully stylized animation that is intentionally jarring and scattered in different styles to reference both western and Japanese animation melding into one. The plot only makes sense if you watch the first movie in the series which is Batman Ninja (2018) which was also pretty divisive among the audience, but I thoroughly enjoyed its approach which was different and enjoyable. The movie is a breath of fresh air in the generally engineered to perfection comic book animation movies, which all follow the same cookie cutter premise. If you like wacky stuff and have a baseline appreciation of Japanese animation and the Batman mythos, these two movies are for you if you want a fresh take. The only complaint I have is that the original cast I think didn't return for this sequel, and hence the voice acting suffers a bit.

My rating: 7.5/10

Also had to share the insane rematch between The Dark Knight and The Man of Steel, but now it's Japanese and 10 times cooler. Good stuff.

Sadayam is a movie about a death row convict. In the first half, the movie is quite intense and you feel most of what the convict feels. The second half is a lot slower and can feel boring at times. The story is great for the most part, but I couldn't come to terms with some others. Most performances in the movie are excellent.
