This is for all the razer fanboys out there. This mouse is plain bullshit. I've used this for ONLY 6 months (used it for only like 2 months) and its skipping and jerking like a ****ing hyperactive eel or something. My advice is don't ever go for these bullshit mice by two-bit companies like razer. The ONLY good product to have come out from razer's collective crapholes was the boomslang and even that got torn apart by the ie3.0.

Would be interested if some of you have actually got the same problem and managed to get it fixed. The only thing I feel like doing with this mouse is taking it by its "GOLD PLATED CONNECTOR OMGZOMGWTFLOEL!?!!" and hurling it at the nearest wall.

On a more serious not, could a laptop be responsible for fking up the sensors on mice? Is there any chance that somehow by some freak of nature/god there was a power surge through the usb that fried the sensor(s)? I know theres only a maximum set limit that a usb port can handle but how else would you explain an entire godfukingdamned sensor going kaput after barely 3 weeks usage?

Have upgraded the firmware, drivers, everything. This does'nt seem to be a one-off incident either, there are tons of kids who bought razer shit just like me crying about how the mice gave up on them.

Here's a link so you can judge just how good this mouse really is :

This was quiet a while back. its gotten even more fked up in recent times.

Another query that I forgot to mention in my last post - If the guys who own a copeprhead here look at their mouse sensors, does the one on the top also glow like the one on the bottom? I see a faint red light on the bottom sensor but the top sensor is completely dark (no light).

Yea.. was away. Will be posting regularly from now on : ). No life on kawa. Only some random 12 yr olds spamming away. Anyways, is there a dealer for Razer in India or do I just take it with me to sg and get it fixed?

The bottom is the laser... the top one is the sensor. It does not glow :P. I have a habu but its basically the same thing as the copperhead but in a nicer shape and heavier weight.

Edit: Forgot to mention... its made by microsoft not razer.

You're out of luck - no Razer dealers in India. Don't even try contacting Razer support because it's fuggin non-existent. Your best bet is calling the Singapore dealer and figuring the best way to get a replacement... oh, and if/when replacement arrives, sell it for an MX518 lol.

Geezz...were you wasted when you did that 'test' or whatever that is??...just make sure you have the latest fireware/driver, keep your mouse clean, clean the surface your mouse is on.Did you by anychance drop/wet/bang the mouse?

Ooh ooh, update !

Just upgraded to firmware 6.18.. GUESS WHAT !!

It does'nt make a difference. I hate these razer c***s. I swear to god. I was a massive moron for buying this stupid ass queer mouse a few days after its release. I heard that razer recitfied the mouse in some later revisions.

Aah, just wait for it.One fine day when you think all's well you'll be returning home from college/work looking forward to a decent 2 hour run of cs or whatever game you think you're really good at and you'll discover that your mouse has started jerking *.* . I wish it never happens to you.
I still remember the day my copperhead died, I was an unassuming old lad of 18 and I jut wanted to play wow when it happened . I could'nt move my mouse smoothly. My heart actually stopped beating there for a second. Why lord Why?.

You don't want that happening to you. Trust me. Anyways, enough of my inane ranting. time to go buy something decent. Is the habu good? It's co-built by razer so I'd prefer not to go near it, but well if its anything like the old ms gear then I might think about getting it.

hmm..i also think u just got a bad peice..
Same thing happened to me too with Logitech MX1000 mouse bought from US...within 3 months of usage, 2 buttons have started to develop problems and I also get random tracking problems occasionally....bah but according to other users it is the finest wireless mouse ever made :-[

Get the MX 518 here in India....very good value for money...

And if you are dead sure of using only a Cloth pad, then think of the Logitech G5 o0r Genius Ergo 525

Even though Ergo 525 uses same sensor i didnt like it too much. It feels cheap. Mind you the sensor is working great but i prefer origianl CH or even MX518 shape.

The thing is ergo does not feel solid in hands, feels plastic. And its Teflon contacts are crap compared to what came with my mx518.

But you get what you pay for.

To the uninitiated: My CopperHead (one of the first few made.) seems to be working just fine. Ofcourse it has been maintained very well also :)

thats kinda uncalled for isnt it?

@l33t - if u looking for a new mouse id suggest dont get a laser mouse. get the mx518 or the ms ie3. if your budget is lower then wheel mouse optical if u can find it.

I would say get the MX518 or the G5 and be happy.Logitech mice have never let me down, never used Razer though...

I bought the MX518 yesterday - ONLY BECAUSE I remember you raving about this mouse a while back in TE. If I have a problem with it anytime soon then I am going to be looking for YOU !! ;)

I paid APEX 2350/- for this rodent. I actually wanted to buy the Genius 535 but it was not in stock and will be available today for 2400/-
