Not a fan yet, will have to see how the ending turns out to me and see what her philosophy states.

I'm reading "The Dark Tower- Stephen King".
I started with the third part "The wastelands" and the 4th one, it was amazing but never got the time to read later parts.

Finished reading "A Prisoner of Birth" by Jeffrey Archer a little while ago.. Am planning to resume reading "Complete Adventures of Feluda - Vol.1" which I had left midway a couple of months ago.. :D

anyone know good Romantic, Love story related book?? Really I'm attracting towards romantic things since she come in my life :yeah:

Mills and Boon if you want slapstick romance... or else Waiting For Mahatma is a very simple but amazing love story set in Malgudi.

Basically, I don't read romantic novels usually but have found some great love stories in classics. The love story in Les Miserables is amazing to say the least. But it's a huge book (around 1500 pages) and love story is just 400 or 500 pages long.

@ Rahulrulez... there is one more that I remember. It's Ernest Hemingway's Farewell To Arms.

Again, a great book with a very nice love story but again a little bit on serious side. The book deals with love as well war. It's a story of a young soldier's struggle as he falls in love and turns his back onto the war.

Halfway through Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series. The 1st three books were pretty good, but he starts to wander off after that.

^^ Ouch.. still cant figure out how ppl manage to read that thing :p

i'm midway through Number of the Beast by Robert Heinlein
I agree. I read Fountainhead and finished it only because a couple of friends(girls) told me it's very powerful and awesome and all that nonsense. I pretty much hated that book. That is the one of the few books I read when ?I regretted following someone else's advice.

^^ from The Secret to White Tiger will be quite a change. Anyone who have liked Slumdog will find White Tiger to be similar :)

White Tiger is completely overhyped. It is decent, but not Booker PRize good. Maybe I feel like that because unlike most foreigners, I live in India and see the poverty and everything first hand. Its nothing new for me. For most of those firangs, it must be very new.

The language is nothing spectacular, the story is decent but there is nothing special. I read Between assassinations too(from the same author). I hated it. It just chronicles various stories. He doesnt end a single story. IF I'm supposed to imagine the endings to his stories, why should I bother reading it? It is the author's job to tie up loose ends in his book. Quite pathetic.

I recently finished India After Gandhi. After that, I've started on The Last Mughals by William Dalrymple. It's an awesome book but a little serious. I broke it off midway to read White Tiger and Between Assassinations. Now, I'm almost done with The World of Jeeves, by P G Wodehouse. Epic stuff!! I'm totally loving it. It's a huge omnibus of various Jeeves and Wooster stories.

Jeeves totally rules :eek:hyeah:

I loved the Fountainhead. She puts forth a very interesting philosophy, one which I tend to agree with (in part, at least). From a purely literary point of view however, its not all that great. You can read either fountainhead or atlas shrugged, they are basically the same.

Thanks for giving such bad review for ayn rand. . . I was feelin bad that i couldnt read them:). . . Her books for some weird reason had such small font that i never bought one. .

If anyone wants to read abt Ayn Rand's works for 1st time i would suggest to start with her play Night of january 16th. Whole story is woven around one night and the climax is something which u dont see in any other fictions.

Book: 3 mistakes of my life

Author: Chetan Bhagat

Rating: 4/5

The first thing we feel on reading this book is the very indian touch in the writing style. I liked the plot , but it is similar in some respects to his other books.

The author narrates the story/experience of a Gujarati business man from the his own(businessman) viewpoint. The story goes through the communal riots that happened in Gujarat and the life of the businessman running a sports shop.

Overall the story line is typical, but captivating the reader. Its having all the ingradients and I don’t know why Chetan is always mixing some flirting and mature stuff(read sex ;)) into his stories.

I enjoyed the ride with this book and overall I can say that this is a book worth reading. People who are into reading “award†books may find this book to be a little more tilted to the commercial side.

Cecilia Dart Thornton - The Bitterbynde Trilogy. Really good read for fantasy / sci-fi lovers.

Currently reading - A Shadow in Summer by Daniel Abraham.

About Fountainhead and Ayn Rand, you either like it or hate it. There is no other in between feeling. I for one, found the characters to be strong willed and rounded, and I could relate to that. Loved Roark.Finished the book in one go.

Happy reading !

For indian love story, try "the english teacher" by r. K . Narayan. . . The first half is one of the best love story i have read. . .
For love story there is always "love story" by erich segal. . .All the hindi film love stories packed into a small book:)
