Then ,I got another CNAME entry ,which is "foobar.com" and its directed to "www.foobar.com" .

but ," foobar.com" gives me a 404 error.

you are wrong here:bleh:

1) publish your blog to only "www.domain.com".

http://domain.com" will not work

2) check the redirect box for re directing in blogger dash board

3) Create a CNAME record "www.domain.com" and point it to ghs.google.com

4) Create another CNAME record "domain.com" and point it to ghs.google.com

5) Remove any other record which you have created for experimenting

and now wait for 24-36hrs for DNS to propagate among Internet:hap2:

yes, and those A records and everything you created. just leave the to defaults not necessary but they might interfere

praka, he's right. Follow those steps and first get your friggin' site/blog up and running... THEN you can handle the non www redirect.

actually ,it is Rs375(349+25) ...but I did a cash deposit and 50rs service charge ....

...and I cannot go with the other guy ravi ...because ...I will write against M$ monopoly and how bill suck$ ...then he may suspend ...so so ....

in case of hosting, the company has power to suspend accounts but in case of domains, You are the owner and the company is mera agent helping you buy a domain.

You could have got the domain for $6 from Name.com. They offer free DNS service too.

thx for the suggestions!. well ,I am not into serious "professional" blogging. I want it simple.that's all.for that ,blogger.com is more than enough ,I think.also ,the name google behing blogger seems good for me
