Renewal of Driving License

Then seems our license are in backlog cmdb. On one YT video, the same portal showed the backlog option last year but its not showing now. Seems we are out of luck.

When I renewed my license in June, went through a middle man (paid 500 extra over the charges). He took care of the documentations and called me when the window was nearly available. Paid the fees and went with the officers sign to take photo within a lead time of 30 mins. It took another 30 minutes to take the photo. Got the renewed license in the evening. Overall a smooth affair.

Need to visit RTO Office or at Agent Office only?

And how long period they are renewing license? some where I read that after 40-45 yrs, of age, they renew for 3 yrs only and every time requires Doctor Certificate for eye sight etc.?

Yes you need to visit the RTO office and get the signature from the officer yourselves. The agent only facilitates and saves time. Then take the photo in RTO only.
After 40 or 50 not sure, they renew for 5 years increments. The agent will get the medical certificates.

I just applied for renewal of my DL issued in 2004, everything worked except contactless aadhar based renewal because name doesn't exactly match.

Now I think maybe I have to visit the Pune RTO even though the website asking to upload the current DL and medical certificate, but hopefully not?

See the previous post, after yours... I used the parivahan link.
Do you have old license in Paper or Digital format?
As only if you have Digital License than only can apply online.
From some post, I learnt that person MUST need to visit ONE TIME to RTO for Renewal of old license, reason, Officer want to click License Holder's Photo in his presence (same told to me by a Driving School), is it true?

I got below message every time, using any link

I have smart card DL... maybe that's why it worked for me.
Yes, you are right.

For Everyone who have old paper license and don't have Data in Regional RTO Website than first convert their license to Smart Card (Digital) and than only able to get service via online portal.
If your License Expiry is near than better do Renewal + Digital conversion BOTH at same time so will save money.

I have the same issue. Did you have to visit the RTO?
Any idea how to correct the name, which form to fill?

I have yet to upload the medical certificate, I guess after that I'll find out if I really need to visit the RTO... I've been really swamped with various things so it's going slow.
I couldn't see a way to update name online so I'm doing renewal without aadhar ekyc.

as per me will be good, if you do with Aadhar ekyc, as you may face same issue on next renewal or may be in mid they may ask you to update or do kyc (like banks doing with non-kyc customers)

Click on Current status of dispatch does nothing.

Wanted to know if we do receive an sms on registered mobile no. wrt tracking or dispatch details? If so, how long does it takes.

Applied to renew my licence on the Parivahan website recently that was converted to digital from paper around 5 years back. Process took 5-10 minutes and like anything now it uses Aadhar verification, most of the time was lost in entering the countless captchas. The total cost was around 463 using credit card as payment, so at least the application process seems seamless. Got to see how much time it takes to receive the licence now.

Good to know. Do we need to search for our paper license no. on their website which I know never shows up irrespective of the combinations we try.
So, did you uploaded the [pic of paper license to begin with?

we both are in same boat, without converting (from RTO Office or via Agent) Paper License into Digital, not possible

Paper to digital was done by a nearby training school at the local RTO about 5 years ago. Once you have the smart license, then things become seamless.
