5GHz preferred, better if inexpensive. AC1200 DIR-811 router is ~1500, let's take that as a budget cap.
 
Is your requirement only for 100Mbps internet? The LAN and WAN ports on your mentioned router are only "Fast ethernet".
Gigabit routers cost a bit more.
 
Gigabit ethernet is not a necessity

Edit: This may no longer be true. Re-evaluating my use case.

TP-Link Archer C6 AC1200, Last I checked WAN port was not working but it worked second time so if you are interested I can recheck before dealing
