The worst part is that everyone seems to get stuck at the 10 lakh barrier and on questions that are bound to disrupt the social life of a person. Do you think you will sleep with someone else except your husband/wife if he/she did not find out! Did you ever want to kill your husband/wife/father/mother? If the participant fails in such type of questions, I can only wonder what will happen to him/her socially.. And please don't say that the contestants know when to stop. Taking pleasure from hearing such admissions is worse than doing them

The contestants are asked if they would like to go ahead with the show after being asked the 50.. It's no obligation on their part to go onto the show after having given the polygraph test.
Also, though the show is pretty controversial, the "Moment of truth" being the "parent" of the show, so to speak, I think us Indians need to open up and remove all these prejudices/taboos from the society. It's a harsh way of doin it but all at the contestant's wish.

2. The contestant CHOOSES to reveal his dark secrets and notions.Nobody forces them into doing it.He/she is present to face close ones with the truth. So there's nothing to take pleasure out of.
It's after all a reality TV show !
Sei said:Yes, I understand that the people are doing it out of their free will and I'm not taking the side of politicians who say that it is destroying the moral fabric of the nation!
What I feel is that these days all the reality shows are leaning more and more towards getting people to wash their dirty linen in public. The sad part is that there are people who have this morbid curiosity to know "whether a wife thinks that she can cheat on her husband if he doesn't come to know about it!"
This is no more different than standing in a crowd around an accident victim just to know what happened.
All said and done, people are adults and they have the choice whether to watch the show or not. I don't like it so I don't. But I'm not judging the person who does, so don't take this as flame bait and try to bash me..![]()
I am decent and thats why they rejected meviralbug said:^ yeah i kinda feel that way as well. i mean cmon, how come every person that comes seems to have cheated his/her partner and done all kinds of stuff. dont tell me there isnt any decent person out there.![]()
Party Monger said:Yeah thats the problem, they will take people with lots of masala in their life, nothing wrong with it..But they shud atleast admit it, else if one draws an average of the mentality of indians from the show, we'll all seem to be having extra maratial affairs..Lol
Also one problem i find is, there is commercialization/commoditization of truth, They are selling the truth, and only selective truth...Doesnt seem ethical for a show thats supposed to be called "Sach ka Samna", sort of irony/hypocrisy..
