I am in search of an android phone with 5MP camera.
The above 2 phones are what I found in MY budget (strictly <15k)
Which one is better?
Is there any phone I missed better than both of them.
PS. I can't wait. I will be buying a phone within 10 days.

I live in Uttar Pradesh. I can also have the delivery in Uttarakhand. Sadly the COD option is not available for here. Also for UP, there is a restriction of form 32 which i know nothing about. Any ideas?

Also how much time will it take after placing the order and getting the phone delivered?
Also how does the guarantee works?
And since I am paying before delivery, what should I do if the package is damaged?
Will there be any extra charges such as octroi be levied? Will they be deducted from my bank account or to be paid in cash on delivery?

^^ These questions have been answered hundreds of time in the Letsbuy thread.

Still, I'll answer them:

1. Delivery time depends on the courier service. Mostly delivered within 3 days.

2. Warranty works the same way as you'll get when purchased from a shop.

3. If the package is damaged, do not accept it, get it returned. Then contact Letsbuy for a replacement.

4. Octroi is charged extra via COD.

How much octroi will be levied for a delivery in Uttarakhand. Any rough idea?

This is because I will be giving my relative's address for delivery.

P.S.- This is my first buy from letsbuy and none of my friends have ever bought from there.

guys i dnt knw y people r saying defy today i have checked the ace n defy in stores the touch of ace is better compare to defy also the look n feel.

please let me knw y defy touch is not as smooth as ace coz i wanna buy one of these tomorrow

After helplessly searching for DEFY in UP/Uttarakhand i found out that Motorola doesn't have any showrooms/service center here.

Some were even saying that motorola is pulling out of india..(doubt that)

So bought ACE. @14200

got the sd card upgraded @ Rs 400 to 8gb.

Loving it so far. Looks sexy. However phone randomly reboots once a day.

A question?

If I upgrade to android 2.3.4, will I void my guarantee?

And if I root my device, will I void my guarantee?

I am a noob in android, so please bear with me and answer my questions.
