It wasnt launched.... It was announced that it would be launched at end of May at a price tag of around 35k

35k would be a DOA kinda suicide.

~32.5k for the Indian mindset i believe.

iinm, 29k was for the SGS 1 when it was launched. So that kinda pricing is possible for this phone.

EDIT:- By 'that kinda pricing is possible for this phone' i was referring to the 32.5k.

It surely will be above 30k in retail

^^^ it is the same phone, but i can bet anything that the price wont be 19.88k.
It will be 30k or north of it.

not really.

Pricing will be comparable to iP4 pricing.

Incredible S costs 28-29k locally. People bought BB Bold for 35k and so seeing SGS II at 35k wont be any of a surprise.

The 28-29k cost you mention of Incredible S is the MOP as far as i remember.

It was for 26,500 when it was launched (i dont rem when exactly but this was the rate abt ~month back) and currently is being sold for 25,800.

With Lg optimus 2x being sold for 27k.. i think too much price difference in S2's price is going to harm Samsung.

+1, If the optimus 2X is available for 27k and Samsung price the SGS II for something like 34-35k, they would have a hard time convincing the people to shell out the xtra dough.
Ideal price point sud be anything between 29-31k

To convert a uk price multiply the msrp by 60-70 for indian mrp. Mrp for s2 will be 35 and it should be available arnd 32-33k

30 something is what you can expect though i was told that it would be priced at about 28k for the 16GB model earlier.. i guess that will be the price at which it settles after a month or so.

Indian release is only by June, or so i heard....eagerly waiting for the same.
