Why its so costly on ebay or amazon ?
Plus shipping & custom charges

Even 50$ coupon is of no use........damn it. :(

^^The cost on PlayStore does not include taxes and shipping. Once you factor that in, it comes to ~$380-390 on PlayStore as well.

If you count taxes and shipping and multiply it with current rs. 55 it will be around 22k so price in india is quite good compared to other imported phones.

So i think rather than importing a smartphone, better to buy it from local shop(Gaffar) or even from Ebay.in

See this LINK, it will cost 23.5k after apply ebay 10% off coupon !!

Moreover this guy is providing seller warranty protection for 1 year:

(COVERS BOTH HARDWARE & SOFTWARE ISSUES) AS

ITEM IS IMPORTED FROM UK/UAE AND HAS SAMSUNG
INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY BUT NOT VALID IN INDIA

AND SO WE COVER ALL YOUR ISSUES FOR 1 YEAR WITH

This is same as importing the phone no? Except that somebody else does it for you!!

Yeah just like people who like to sprout nonsense about every copy cat phone out there by saying they have used it! Or like people who just drop into nexus thread to comment when they even lack the intellect to own or use such a smart phone!
Yeah!!! Sad times in the funny world we are living in!

I was reading through this thread and found a couple of very funny things

1) People are paying 23k for a google nexus phone which is without warranty,
2) when you could get a used underwarranty galaxy s2 i9100 for 21k.
3) You could even get the new galaxy s2 for 27k
4) you could get similar HTC sensation imported w/o warranty set for 17.5k.(specs are similar + 8MP cam)
5) you could buy a HTC velocity for 21k.(1.5 ghz dual core processor)
6) You could buy a samsung t989 galaxy s2 for 23k (1.5ghz dual core processor) (imported and unlocked)

why would anybody wanna pay 23k for a 5MP phone when all the above listed phones are 8MP and are equally priced or cheaper than the i9250. I have actually seen and used the i9250 and its almost similar to the i9020/i9023 and I was not really impressed with the phone ... But then that was my opinion.

Why dont you both get into your heads that people who go for Nexus don't look for camera, OK sensation might have 8 MP cam but it doesn't matter when the four words come to mind "Jelly Bean" & "Custom ROMS"
Specs may be same of GNex and all the phones you mentioned but they don't have that much developer community support or will not get JB,, you find for me the number of custom ROMS or JB roms for sensation in comparison to GNex and I am ready to accept your views
People don't sprout non sense when they say GNex is better than Sensation, its you who don't have full knowledge, if you had, you would have not made such post in first place

Not sure why you quoted my post, but fyi I replaced my S2 with nexus!

what can you argue with a person who wants to buy a new OS handset (which is untested OS) in place of a similar phone with a tried and tested OS (that actually dosent have any errors or problems) has got 8MP camera and has an option of getting upgraded to jellybean once the OS has been tested by the manufacturer.

But then its again a point of view. To each his own.

FYI Jelly Bean released on Nexus is in no way untested or beta, it is thoroughly tested before releasing and many phones have been left out of getting a new android update because manufacturers deny it, also case in point, my friends has a Desire S, ICS got released in November last year, still HTC hasn't officially upgraded it, it has been 8 months, anyways I abide by the point you mentioned that every one has his own view

If anything manufacturers introduce their own bugs to Google OS. Nexus is the most stable device imo. And what makes you think jelly bean is untested?

My friends friend just got the nexus from heera panna for 21k.I am not sure whether he gave his old piece or not which i think he did.Not sure about the model. Will confirm. At first friend told its available for 23k there.

I think first of all people need to understand first and foremost, in photography more MP does not mean a better camera. Apart from Iphone 4S, Nokia Pureview and to an extent HTC One series, all the camera on phones are pathetic.

I think you have ignored the biggest plus point of G Nexus, a 720P SAMOLED screen, I prefer it anyday over the lower resolution SAMOLED + screen of SII. The GNEXUS is by far the best phone in the price range even at present. But yeah I get your argument, as people are getting Galaxy Note with 6 month warranty at 25k (I got one myself :p) which is awesome. I simply love the screen on Note, and the only phone I will use beside a Note, is Note 2 or Note 3.

I am watching this thread for long time. I am having a plan to upgrade my LG optimus one. First i shortlisted Gnexus and also tried to get it through play store but my wallet account got locked. Then i decided to go with LG Nitro HD which is coming very cheap compare to Gnexus but main problem is battery life so, i decided to remove that also.

Today morning i saw a news about Xperia S
Sony Xperia S Added To Android Open Source Project As First Experimental Device

So, I hope Xperia S will get more development support also it's having latest hardware spec compare to Gnexus.

Xperia S is now available for 25k (Dealer warranty) and 27k(manufacture warranty)

What you guys suggesting?
