true.. the display does look washed out as compared to devices with 800*480 resolutions like the touch hd and xperia..
ive used an iphone 3g and even that display was way better than this one..
but the omnia offers much more peace of mind and a hell lot of customization.
its lightweight, doesnt need an itunes to transfer music, and is blazingly quick to use..
the camera is way better than the iphone and maybe on par with the n95(my ex

.. the smile recog feature is very nifty and the interface is very nice
only sore thumb is the stupid stupid win mo 6.1 os which is not as good looking as the mac os on the iphone.. but there are aftermarket solutions to that and trust me, they look awesome and are highly usable(i use one right now)
by the way the sound quality is absolute KILLER!!!!! does justice to the 16gb of space available on it.. to those who find the headphone volume less, worry not.. samsung has put a lock on the volume levels and can be unlocked in a matter of seconds with just a few key presses.. ive done that and it sounds BETTER than the iphone cos samsung supplies the sound chips to apple and they use the same or maybe better modules in their own products!!!!!!!! trust me on the sound part, im happiest with that! the ringtones are LOUD and even they can be made to sound louder by the same software tweak
the iphone does not even have a today/active standby screen which i totally dig now cos i dont need to go into different menus.. all are on the desktop
