w00t, my gps too just worked,:D, at first it took around 10min get a signal lock, but then finally it located my position with 5 satellites then 6, 7 . And now whenever i start up the navigation app, it works like a char, gets a lock in just seconds

Guys finally i got my wave today for 18100 rs in Bangalore....though didnt get the Metallic Black beauty,,,so got the Ebony Gray.....Truly it is a great phone....

So please anyone can me guide me to get NFS Shift on my wave....what should i do...?

wow hey you got it :) nice :) to get shift Jus download kies and the first screen durin installation asks you to choose location and language. set the location to UK and install. start kies (if you have any internet security software then disable it else kies may not work properly) now click on Samsung apps and search for shift. download and install :) make sure the phone is connected obviously :)

I tried it for a few minutes at samsung store at Forum, despite being a flagship showroom, they only had a dummy, but the sales guy had a friend who was in the store at that time, must stay this the first touch screen device that seemed to match the responsiveness of apple, loved the display and the native support of mkv. they quoted 17800, am wondering if I can find a better deal. Really really tempted to buy the phone now.

Current users, one question, what is max duration of video you've captured till now, and what was the max file size of the video you have played on this?

duration of recording depends on the size of mem card. MAX size of video that can be played is obviously 4GB coz the mem card has a FAT32 file system and the max file size for that is 4GB. You gotta split the video if its bigger than 4GB sadly :(

hey... are you able to use turn by turn voice navigation?? we are supposed to get a months subscription free..

@Soumalidon....kies is not able to detect my phone.....it says driver instalation failed,,,dont no wat to do...Kies has being updated to latest...did u install anything else,...?

Have you tried copying any movie files [divx *.avi usually 700 mb] directly without converting them to any format or resizing them to the wave and tried to play them , as i am experiencing lag while playing them . The frame rate is visibly low. However when i convert the same file with a video converter or kies video converter, it plays them well without lag.

And the battery is still lasting only about a day and half with super light usage. I think i need to get the unit replaced.

what OS are you running? i had problems too in the beginning but after disabling my Internet security everything worked fine. Try doing that. I did not install anything extra.

yes i have played 700MB divx avi files directly from the phone without converting them or resizing them. They work jus fine and i experience no lag at all. You should be getting better battery backup too especially on light usage. Get the phone checked out...

I tested with untouched videos, mkv's and mp4's, both in 720p and they play super smooth .. the seek is particularly note worthy .. 2.5 gb 720p mkv's take slight time to load but once loaded its pretty darn good ..

Also, its been about 12 hours since in charged the phone, i started back at 93% battery life, now its about 74% after 12 hours. I attended a few calls of around 2-3 mins, say about 30 mins of calls overall, about 4 hours of music and an hour of wifi internet :) ... screen brightness is set to 4 :) ..

My cousin bought it yesterday for 16950/- thru CC payment here in Lucknow. Cash price was like 16800/-. Guys, this phone is amazing. So fast and bright, vivid display. Samsung is promoting wave and galaxy-s like hot cakes. Everyone was asking for "wave". Galaxy-s was for 28000.

I tried too 700 mb rip and movie was lagging. 98 MB "waka waka" downloaded from youtube did not run. will try more videos today.

just woke up m surprised with its some unexpected features which i didnt know and never found them in my previous cell phones, FM with recording, lol i didnt knew this :p, and it supports java too, so Opera Mini FTW , working like charm :D

Eerr i download mp4 hq off youtube and directly transfer them to the phone and they play absolutely fine, no lags or anything. avi i haven't tessted coz i dont have any :p ...

hey you can directly download and install it from kies. connect the phone in kies mode, open kies,click on Samsung apps, search for shif and download. after download completes it will give you option to install it from the kies Samsung apps.

^one thing to note though about the video recording. higher frame rate doesn't mean it's automatically better. in fact many people prefer 24 fps recording to 30
