IF this is the case that we cant download the firmware that means we cant update the phone at home at all,,everytime run to the service centre....oh god this is not good,,,,:S

Hope this running ur doing is worth,,,

Me too wanna no the price of 8Gb and 16Gb card,,,,:cool2:

Just got a 8 Gb Micro sdhc Kingston [ class 4 ] card for 800 /- , the 16 Gb [ class 2 ] will cost somewhere around 2100 /- to 2400 /- . I am happy wid this card , its giving a write speed of 5.50 mb/sec while copying large files which is pretty decent !!!

BTW the video lag issue was due to some crappy videos , tried different videos and getting smooth playback !!!!

Ok guys after a lot of struggle I was able to update my wave to DDJF2 yesterday.



When I went there first time, the lady there updated it to DDJF2 but then after returning, I found out that the phone was going into debugging mode when I try to change some settings. Again went to the SVC and got it updated second time. And now its doing pretty good. I almost spent like 3 hours sitting there and waiting. Though the regional manager in my area helped me a lot.

But those multitasking issue still exist. Guys try this on your wave whetever may be your firmware versions.

Just keep homescreen running, no apps or widgets. Now open media browser and then minimise it by long pressing menu key. Then go to homescreen again. Then start music player and then minimise it again by menu key. Now see if the media browser is running or not. On my Wave the media browser closes automatically.

Case2 - Just keep homescreen running. Go to clock and then start stopwatch. Minimise it and start music player, minimise the music player and then go to task manager and see if the clock app is running or not. On my device it vanishes from task manager but it keep running when I manually start it again.

Pls test this on your wave and report back. I am not sure if I am alone facing these issues or its affecting all the devices ?

On a sidenote- I am not that happy with Wave and would like to get Galaxy S. So any of you mumbai guys want to buy my Wave then I am ready to sell it for 16k. No less than that.

yup they do get closed down automatically!! freakin weird...

@soumalidon- And people say Nokia's are slow and hangs a lot etc etc. My N86 & N79 kick the ass of Wave in multitasking department. I guess its the way with BADA os. I need to ask some of my european friends on twitter if they have the same issues or not ?

@ yogi how old is the symbian OS compared to bada?? you cant expect it to be perfect right away. How many updates did the 5800XM get to make it into a somewhat decent OS? And most people will not dig so much into multitasking to find faults.. i know ur into phones so u check it in and out :)

@soumalidon- Look I am no nokia fanboy that many people consider me to be. I am just hardcore fan of few nokia devices I have owned. Leave alone S60 5th edition, that was screwed from day one. The actual S60 touch is symbian 3 which should have been on 5800 ex music in the first place. I had a superb experience with N82 and now with N86. Both these are the two best non-touch devices ever produced :) Period...

Wave is my first touch device. I am pretty happy with it barring these multitasking issues. As it has a superb awesome hardware inside, its sad to see these multitasking issues being associated with Wave :( I only thought of selling Wave as I am looking to buy my first android device Galaxy S which at 28 k is pretty stiff, hence...

ah i never said u were a nokia fanboy :) i know S60 V3 is a great OS, i myself had a Samsung i450 (or beat 450) which was running S60 V3 and was considered one of the fastest S60 devices then. That was a great phone till i dropped it in the Ocean :p jus wait for updates and these small issues on the Wave will be solved. I dont like large phones like the Galaxy S so i jus left it.... but ya i dont know why it costs 10000 more that the wave considering the differences between them are small....

@soumalidon - trying to get Galaxy S cheaper via some channels :) lets see if I can manage it ..

Sidenote- Nokia does really stupid things these days. N8 has 256mb ram & 512 mb rom. The qwerty version of N8 with 8 mp cam which most prolly be labled as E7 is suppose to have 512mb ram & 1 gb rom. Now that is crap. Why N8 dont have 512mb ram and 1 gb rom as well :( These crap decisions by Nokia are reponsible for their downfall lately. And Samsung , HTC are cashing in with Wave, Galaxy S, Desire, and now the roumoured desire hd ..

Sad to know about ur experience with ur wave...well i think that ur expecting too much from a OS which has just launced,,,i would like to say the same thing what soumalidon told,,give it some time,,,

The future updates will definately be beneficial for all the wave owners,,,:)

Any emoticons this time in the JF2,,,,and what all positive things u got in the JF2 firmware...and which service centre are u going,,,?

i m really surprised u got it for 800..when i asked here in sangeeta forum...they told me 1400 rs for the 8 Gb card...good they dint have stock that day and i didnt buy from them.....THanks for the update,,,:clap:

jus got a 16GB Transcend Class 2 microSDHC from Golchaa for 2000. :p Will transfer everything from my old card and put some HD vids. Lets see how it does :)
