Where is the link?

Or maybe a new thread where the OP has all relevant information about the Smasung Wave (Apps/Firmwares etc..) or you could edit the first post of this thread :p

+1 for sticky

Any sites where you can get apps/widgets/firmwares for the wave?

The one i have used so far is mysamsungwave.com

Want Android On Your Samsung Wave? | Bada Forums

and for people getting low battery backup, try this instead :)

I called T-Mobile today complaining about the poor battery life on the Wave. I was told that the Wave is operating in the wrong mode which is what is making the battery drain down so fast. Mine was just about lasting 36 hours!

Anyway, was told to key in *#8740# when you do this you will see a message saying something like "AP UART mode enabled" if you key in the code again this will toggle the phone into "CP UART" mode. You should be in AP mode to extend battery life. Just key in the code again till the phone says "AP UART mode enabled"

I've only just tried this today so its too soon to comment on battery life but I thought I would share with everyone.

and this really works for most of the posts i have read on forums

My Mini Review of the Game "Kroll"

This Action/Adventure title looks gorgeous on the S-AMOLED screen of the wave. Hands down the best looking 3D game I have seen on any phone so far. Kroll takes you on a journey of mindless hack'n'slash with amazing visuals in a fantasy world that includes beaches, mountains, molten magma mines in a volcano and if that wasn't enough a floating prison for the final boss fight.

The story is nothing much to write home about but does a good enough job of giving you the background of the lead protagonist and the world in which the game is set. Controls are simple and well laid out and don't get in the way of the action on the relatively smallish 3.3" wave screen. The game features 3 difficulty levels (Normal, Hard and Insane) and a scoring system keeps that tracks your progress in game. It also features 12 different levels including 3 Boss Battles. All three boss battles make use of QTE (Quick Time Event) which I'm sure most of us are familiar with (God of War, ring a bell?). The implementation of QTE works the way it should and the rendering of the big boss characters are stunning to say the least (I almost wet my pants). The boss fights start and end with a cinematic cut-scene that rounds up the level quite well and in a very polished manner. The music is nice and pacey and suits the theme of the game and helps in creating a great atmosphere.(Use headphones for best results)...

Now, the cons of the game.
Overall this game is quite stellar but it does suffer from a few drawbacks namely the playtime. It is not long by any stretch of the imagination. I finished my first run on easy in around 1 hour. So my suggestion to first time players - choose a higher difficulty setting to get the maximum out of your KROLL experience. Other than the short play time some may not like the repetitive nature of the game play. (Isn't this the case with almost every hack'n'slash title?)

To sum up this is an excellent effort by the developers at Samsung, showing us what the device and the platform is capable off.
Hopefully a sign of things to come for their bada OS. A definite must buy for all wave owners. Oh wait, the game is free..
Yeah that's right absolutely free and available now on the Samsung App store. So what are you waiting for? Get it now...before the buggers realise their mistake and start charging for it :D

Link: Download Kroll

Final Verdict: 8.5/10

Now if we keep getting a steady supply of such quality games then bada owners have nothing to worry about.

yup i noticed the bada apps gettin better with time :) the game is good but i wonder when the paid india store will open so that we can buy some of the better games

Yup same here. Waiting for the paid service to launch. Sooner the better.

Added a review of kroll in my earlier post (was a lil bored in office) :p

Fiddled with a Samsung Wave that my boss got today ( He asked me to sync his Outlook contacts with the phone ). I must say that I'm blown away by the sheer quality of the phone.

It looks deceptively non-impressive from outside but the UI is sooooo buttery smooth. I can say with confidence that it is almost 95% of the level that iPhone has set. And damn it's fast!!! No lag while opening apps, typing etc. Amazing stuff. Thinking I'll pick up one for my mom since Android is definitely a bit tough for her to use. :p

can somebody tell me how good is the facebook app...or even better facebook in the browser mode.....have seen reviews where high multimedia content webpages result in insufficient memory which results in closing down of a few widgets automatically.

The memory issues would get resolved with future firmware updates for the bada OS.

Facebook app is fairly basic and on the browser the facebook page loads up fine.

^^^ This would be like a breakthrough discovery.. :p :p

And one might have to change it after every firm wware update..

Hey Guys.

How have you protected your wave? ATM i only have installed a make shift screen guard on it.
