My Mini Review of the Game "Kroll"
This Action/Adventure title looks gorgeous on the S-AMOLED screen of the wave. Hands down the best looking 3D game I have seen on any phone so far. Kroll takes you on a journey of mindless hack'n'slash with amazing visuals in a fantasy world that includes beaches, mountains, molten magma mines in a volcano and if that wasn't enough a floating prison for the final boss fight.
The story is nothing much to write home about but does a good enough job of giving you the background of the lead protagonist and the world in which the game is set. Controls are simple and well laid out and don't get in the way of the action on the relatively smallish 3.3" wave screen. The game features 3 difficulty levels (Normal, Hard and Insane) and a scoring system keeps that tracks your progress in game. It also features 12 different levels including 3 Boss Battles. All three boss battles make use of QTE (Quick Time Event) which I'm sure most of us are familiar with (God of War, ring a bell?). The implementation of QTE works the way it should and the rendering of the big boss characters are stunning to say the least (I almost wet my pants). The boss fights start and end with a cinematic cut-scene that rounds up the level quite well and in a very polished manner. The music is nice and pacey and suits the theme of the game and helps in creating a great atmosphere.(Use headphones for best results)...
Now, the cons of the game.
Overall this game is quite stellar but it does suffer from a few drawbacks namely the playtime. It is not long by any stretch of the imagination. I finished my first run on easy in around 1 hour. So my suggestion to first time players - choose a higher difficulty setting to get the maximum out of your KROLL experience. Other than the short play time some may not like the repetitive nature of the game play. (Isn't this the case with almost every hack'n'slash title?)
To sum up this is an excellent effort by the developers at Samsung, showing us what the device and the platform is capable off.
Hopefully a sign of things to come for their bada OS. A definite must buy for all wave owners. Oh wait, the game is free..
Yeah that's right absolutely free and available now on the Samsung App store. So what are you waiting for? Get it now...before the buggers realise their mistake and start charging for it

Final Verdict: 8.5/10
Now if we keep getting a steady supply of such quality games then bada owners have nothing to worry about.
