it contradicts what you have told about kies. What i cant understand is how can kies do that?

i have a feeling that its cause that i downloaded those two off kies 2.0 while the rest were from the older versions.... so kies 2.0 isnt ready to detect the the apps downloaded off the older kies as installable.... theres no register thing here at all coz i never downloaded with my waveII connected! Damn it doesnt samsung understand backward compatibility??

If I connect my cousins Wave to my PC....... I c all the softwares and games greyed out in Kies....... if I connect mine all lit up to install....... so it has this register thing inbuilt in it......

Its to protect their software frm illegal mass usage....... say eg: NFS Shift has limit for free download...... how will they protect tht if I can easily giv them to all my frnds by single download........ so they hav this protection for its softs....... thou I think its upto the dev to use it or not which is why some softs work for u.......
 
who knows! i still believe its kies 2.0! the file names dont appear when i go n check the samsung folder.... just long codes with respective .app and .img

perhaps if i got the file name for the current asphalt and nfs for waveII i might be able to make these work... and it wouldnt be illegal! But thats a long shot

anyways ppl theres good news.... asphalt 5, modern combat sandstorm and zombie infection currently only Rs66!!! maybe they will keep this for a day only.... i might download them now i guess! wish i had taken 16gb card lol

sorry didnt notice your post..... there is no text reflow at all.... but the screen is very big and text is more clearer so thats not a problem. The only problem however is that the browser has a very annoying address bar pop up which happens whenever i tap the screen and it also has an annoying permanent bookmak and cancel bar at the bottom so when i go in landscape only 2/3rd of screen is usable!! hope a new firmware upgrade removes both of these.
 
Thank you very much Vishaal. I we get bada 1.2 here in india for the original wave before Bada 2.0 comes in Feb. Better still, Bada 2.0 straight for us here waiting so patiently:D.
 
hey i made a small mistake..... text reflow is there for pdf files.... they are more responsible when in landscape, fr portrait mode its there too but the text makes you squint your eyes a bit... they could have zoomed it a little more but then again you can pinch and zoom here too :) use in landscape simple.... but 3.3inch will be a bit small for that i guess but still will do
 
^^ Text reflow is there in picsel viewer since bada 1.0 atleast in my phone. And text reflow means that the text will automatically adjust on the screen so that you need not side scroll when you zoom in. It doesnt mean that the whole page is shown at once. Text reflow by definition works when you zoom in, not at original size where the complete page is actually at screen size.
 
I am on version 3.4.32(5802) presently. But I dont know how to update picsel viewer. And there is no setting for text reflow AFAIK. It is just automatically on(atleast for me)

@rishi its not there?? weird! here in my waveII theres text reflow in msgs too! just pinch and zoom and it adjusts automatically, ofcourse theres no real use in msgs however lol
i am waiting for the browser to get better! really they need to remove he annoying address bar pop up at the top and bookmark, cancel bar at bottom!
tried pera mini but it isnt installing!
on a side note do you guys have sms scheduler in your messages? i activated it, set a time and date but the msg wasnt sent! god knows what it scheduled!
 
What is the error you are getting? Desktop youtube version doesnt work due to lack of latest flash player in the browser. You need to use the youtube app or mobile youtube site.

'Connection failure/error' on WAVE S8500 and 'Try again' on Wave 525. And I'm using the youtube app which is the m.youtube version.

^arpan is talking about flashed firmware or firmware installed by changing the registry of kies, not official firmware. And for the youtube problem, is normal internet functioning properly?

Yeah! normal internet is working just fine. I check mails. Am on FB via it. Regular weather updates. etc.
 
^Depending on your operator you might have a different apn for streaming, you can try for the automatic settings with your operator once and then select the streaming option. For docomo it is TATA STREAMING. No idea about other operators.

Kies update out. Adds connecting via bluetooth and Allshare options. Makes the UI more smooth and lag free.
 
Also bada 2.0 will be officially unveiled completely and will be shown running on mobile phones in MWC 2011 Feb14. 3 more days to go!:)
