The ebay listing for the class 4 8gb card are for around 850-950, sangeetha most likely will sell it at mrp or around that, I suggest you try some computer shops or the shops around brigade road, like glasgow computers or the ones in dubai plaza (market)

Guys what is this class for the microSD cards,,,which is the best class,,do they vary accordingly to the speed ? and which class is sufficient for wave,,,,that is decent speeds...

I found out no difference in performance or features between DDJF1 & DDJF2 .. But I guess I will use my Wave as primary device for few days to report any issues or improvements. Also in the morning during video recording, the phone went into that debugging mode once. Just that one off incidence. Otherwise its been smooth sailing for DDJF2 for me. I guess I will give my N86 a bit of rest and use Wave for few days. I will report back in 2-3 days :)

I am very happy with Wave btw, otherthan the multitasking issues. But then with that outstanding hardware I guess, I am not asking a lot with regards to multitasking. Its a super excellent feature phone right now. Smartphone, hopefully with few firmware updates and updated BADA os :)

Again, Wave is a super buy for 17k. It virtually has no competition in that price bracket :)

@ suji... they FINALLY downloaded the firmware today :) they said they have to do some observation thing and told me to come tomorrow morning. Good thing is the download is done :p i saw the files to confirm :)

found an interesting video guys :D

Was just going through one of the video reviews who showed a Google widget on the phone with a maps option. I wonder if the maps option on the Google widget opens up the browser or a dedicated app. If it can run Gmaps flawlessly, it will surely be my next phone as it fulfils all my requirements-- good sturdy build, Gmaps and excellent music player.

it is not a dedicated app.. it opens the browser. Hopefully there will be a gmaps app sooooooon ;)

AND YES U CAN UPDATE TO DDJF2 THROUGH KIES NOW!!!!!! IM DOIN IT RIGHT NOW!!! THANKS SURFER :) :)

dam it i wasted my time with those SVC ppl :( :(

wow the phone is barely in the Indian market and Samsung are already rolling out updates!!! NICE indeed...

^^ Even i saw people updating the phone via KIES but they were facing severe problems because of some DLL errors...join the immunity named "Samsung Wave S8500 (Badaâ„¢ OS)" in orkut....it would be of great help because a BADA application developer named Srini is helping all the BADA users,,,

ah hmmm jus finished updating.. without any error messages and my phone was lagging in the beginning! I was like WTF!!! but it was actually initializing the sim card etc and now all my messages are showing as new :O phone seems a bit smoother than before... will have to use it more and check..

Ohh,, so now DDJF2 is available via KIES .. Damn, wasted 3 hours at SVC for that. Anyways I tried updating via kies and it obviously says your firmware is the latest one and needs no updating. BTW, yesterday night the phone again went into the debugging mode. That makes it two times since I have updated to DDJF2.

BTW, listen to the phones show chat 44 , around at 17 mins ..someone is saying that wave has swype feature in keyboard. Anyone being able to locate that ?

am new to this forum... & wave's my first smartfone/ feature fone.... even am having the JE7 firmware... willing to update it... but just hope it doesnt become a big nightmare for me...

So waiting for your valuable comments on the JF2 firmware before i update to it....

@soumalidon & @yogi7272 : Do you guys see any improvements or bug? Is there any new functionality?

Samsung have advertised the same thing in their placed rollover adverts on gsmarena, I tried using that method but no success, not sure if I tried the right way or if there is some setting to enable it.
