Any changes in JF2??...... or else why bother upgrading...... better wait for Bada 1.1 or some major upgrade........

^^ Fat chance. Galaxy S and Wave share almost the same hardware specs, and yet are Rs 10000 apart in pricing. It's because Samsung wants to promote the BADA OS.

Hi guys !!! Just updated to JF2 !!!

My wave is faster and smoother than before!!!!

Signal reception is slightly better than before.

Video playback is slightly smoother.

Will post more changes if i find ,any.

Any one who plans to update his wave should ensure that his wave running perfectly with KIES and should also turn Antivirus OFF before the UPDATE. Also avoid running anything on your desktop when updating.

nothin to keep in mind when updating. Jus connect the phone and go next next in kies :) well the little glitches are fixed wit this update. but else its the same. and ya forget android on wave. not happenin. get a galaxy s honestly you guys

Kies on my office laptop showed that there is an update available, however, when I start the same, I keep getting the error "no response form server", my guess, it could be due to office network, another thought is could it be due to the uk version of kies? so while it shows update available, it still fails. any thoughts guys?

@arpan- As you have updated from DDJE7 to DDJF2 , there might be noticable difference in performance. I dont find much difference between DDJF1 & DDJF2 ..

Truly even i dont feel that Android is going to come on the wave as Samsung has already spent too much on the marketing of the applications for BADA and also kept that competition for the best application worth millions of Dollars...

Well coming to the update,,,Should i re install KIES stating the location as India because JF2 is released for India or shud i continue with the already installed KIES with UK location only?

Any emoticons or new themes?

I wud advise you to do a fresh install Of kies and then update the wave.... just to be on the safer side and avoid any kind of conflict.

Hey guys!!
just an update!-
got gprs connection from airtel=2gb for rs 198 p.m , speed is very satisfactory
pushmail!!=finaaly managed to get it right, setup my gmail account in active exchange and things are working fine..
GPS=it does work!!! lol!....u need to be directly under open sky to get a lock...and thereon its a breeze...
although if you want voice navigation, u would have to buy it from route66...but the maps for india are free...size around 250mb
(installing the maps in one go from computer will save your precious data transfer on mobile)

so far so good...

still looking for a full body cover....meanwhile i have a 50rs scratch guard cut to fit (just the screen)

actually I installed wit the UK location and I updated without any issues. DD corresponds to India. so kies will check if there are any updates specifically for DD.

I have this wonderful phone for a few days now. Main problem with it however has been non-functional GPS even after downloading maps. KIES indicated availability of software update on my Windows 7 computer, downloaded the same but later it gave an error message saying some .dll file missing and hence update can't be made. What can I do, should I take the phone a service center? Its working though, but contacts details were lost. Luckily I have the backup.

Actually Android porting will be done by developers based on the phones popularity. Samsung has no say in it. So there is no reason not to expect an Andoid port.

The same plan in Delhi/NCR region costs 98rs per month, speed is great when compared to mtnl(edge), Hutch, sucky aircel, reliance gsm

But Idea EDGE speed is much better than any other right now, but cost 20rs per day :p
 
@soumalidon, don't remember the exact name. Thought it's unsafe to try and replicate it again. But, like all the previous pc suite softwares of Samsung, KIES is yet again a disappointment. Why can't Samsung learn a thing or two in PC Suite software from Nokia?

The error message is BinaryLoaderMgr.exe. It says, "The program can't start because RAPI.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." Please somebody point it out towards me, what I should do. The KEIS version is v1.5.1.10071_32. My computer is a Dell laptop running Windows7.
