Ok guys i updated my firmware,,took around one hour,,:)

guys i have a problem in my push mails,,,when some one sends me a mail i dont get it instantly but i have sent a time for the phone to refresh and keep checking for the mails like 2 hours 3 hrs 6 hrs or manually...isnt there a option in which the mail comes instantly without me doing anything...

@arpan: Thanks for the input, turns out it was my office network blocking Kies from contacting firmware download severs. my kies is installed with UK settings.

Downloading the firmware on the same laptop now without getting on the office network, but its slow even for my 1mbps connection :p

I need you guys help here.. My friend is going to purchase wave for me in Delhi.. Could someone help me which card is best suitable for wave? please specify the exact spec that I need to buy.. I am planning for 8GB memory...

Well, here is a bad news on my front, my upgrade failed and the recovery mode failed too at least 3-4 times, stuck with the phone on an icon where its showing a yellow mark between the phone and the computer. anyone got any suggestions? guess its gonna be a long night :(

I am planning to upgrade my wave to DDJF2. Can you pls let me know what is size of firmware & how much time it will take to upgrade?

Also any precautions to be taken while upgrading?

Was your antivirus ON ? And was your wave having any issues with Kies before the update ? I had warned about these things in Post #443. Did u by any chance shake the cable when the F/W update was running ?
If your laptop has 64 bit version of windows 7 then it will require Net Framwork 3.5 to run Kies properly, check the link below:

Hi Guys,

I was trying to update to new firmware JF2 bt I am getting this unusal error msg (Failed to covert to upgrade mode. Please try later) I tried twice and got the same message.
Each time it downloaded firmware from net. Why can't samsung use the same files it downloaded 1st time? Do you have any idea where these files are stored?
Do any one facing this issue? Pls Help?

he he i wasn't even aware of the two colors when i got my wave.. luckily though my contact gave me the black one :D

Actually, i was aware of the two colors. But was so excited to get one that i almost forgot to select the color while buying the wave. It was when the guy broke the seal and opened the box i saw it was the BLACK one. Nevertheless, i find both the colors awesome as ebony gray gives the phone a two-toned colored look and black just looks sexy :)

@v.anand Search for the dlls for example like RAPI.dll in the net or in the system32 folder of ur lappy and place them in the KIES installation folder..this should probably make it working,....best of luck
