A) Different handwritten note / timestamp for the product photos and working photos.

B) Why is it running off a x1 riser when the board is just lying there with nothing in the primary x16 slot

No box just bunch of bubble rap and foam inside. Covering all with celotape . The condition was good doesn't look like beaten. But there was not fragile sticker and shipped buy india post, may be someone has dropped it while shiping as it was looking like a football due to bubble rap.
I'm surprised the fans even spin if that's the case...
I am surprised that the fans are still attached and the GPU was still in one piece ! Then again there are so many red flags on this one, I am surprised it got sold.
Lesson : For new sellers even if they have bought some TE tier to sell (i.e. no other posts other than the Marketplace), for high value items, better to do F2F.

I suggest more steps/rules to be added to post in sale for new accounts, some suggestions:
1. more than just 2 pics with clear handwritten notes only.
2. for CPU/GPU clear CPUZ/GPUZ pictures with benchmarks showing dates mandatorily.
3. Video showing the hardware working.

I request other members to add some more suggestions

even then best to avoid cards made 4-5 years old. Over such a long time, the solder pads under the core and memory can develop cracks due to thermal stresses over a long period. The card may be working but one jolt in courier could be enough. One card i had died after installing new thermal paste. Just removing cooler and tightening cooler was enough

Its not bad to sell 4-5yrs old cards because for budget users that would be good Just need to avoid new users at all costs or It would be just olx user experience
here dealing with such case what more can you expect then.

Ya but age of card is also why the price is low. I'm just saying significantly old cards can be fragile that merely removing cooler kills it. Could be cracked solder joint, barely holding on capacitor. Anything

Do not have fear of "missing out on a deal"
Never be in a hurry to "close a deal"

Ask questions.....always.

Make sure the seller is someone who is willing to put in the time and effort into the deal.

As a buyer it's always your own responsibility to be responsible of your own money.

If you're unsure of a seller (or even the the buyer if you're selling) or the product and you're not getting the required assurance or clarity from the seller , walk away !

Also....Stay away from people who use risers.

As a rule, try to avoid paying new sellers in advance. F2f deals initially until they earn few positive feedbacks.
When I made my 1st sale, I had to send it to a friend in Delhi and from him the buyer took f2f and paid then only.
This particular thread raised a lot of suspicion when he dropped the price the next day. Buying Enclave Plus is not a sign of trusty seller/buyer.

Some sellers can even Game the system by making dummy deals among their accounts to get positive feedbacks. To be honest it all boils down to be suspicious until you are fully satisfied with the details.
For now, you can file a cyber complaint with all the evidence you have got. Maybe wait a day or two and then make the complaint.

I had a similar issue with a car system, which I bought from a guy in another city. I paid him only after he dispatched it. But the next day the guy called the courier back. I logged a complaint with the cybercell and they blovked his accounts and the guy was made to come to Bangalore and return the money.

How he managed to bring courier back after sending? Which courier company allowed it?

If possible, make a detailed post about filling the complaint in cybercell. It will help other members and maybe deter some scammers by seeing the ease of complaint and its outcome.

Unke case mei kafi simple hai because "non delivery of goods" but in situation where dispute is like I bought a galaxy watch off a guy in gurgaon and he said it came free with his ultra phone. I paid and had work so I asked him to ship it. He cleverly shipped me an obviously used watch instead of the "new". i complained and basically koi zada fark nhi pada because the ASI was like it's his word against your word. Kaise maane kon galat or kiski galti despite the fact that i had screenshot of chat where he said new watch hai

In your case, I guess matching the IMEI numbers was an option if you saw the listing of a new watch and asked for pictures of the watch's imei. I think it is pertinent and very important to be extra cautious while dealing online unless you know the other party.
