Lol @ pants...
@ every1 : sorry for the outburst, that guy irritated the hell out of me
Now lemme explain
Torrent client downloads the pieces it doesn't store them to your HDD just now( View your RAM usage go up, ig you have increased the cache setting in torrent client). Now when the torrent client reaches that cache limit it empties the whole content from RAM yo ur HDD.
Now the pagefile funda ( that Mr. Andrew said)
PageFile is used when their is not enough RAM for the OS, but we all know we have some ram always left. Well thats because Windows Tries to manage that free RAM and put some stuff to PageFile.
You can even force the windows Kernel to get stored in RAM instead of going to pagefile.
1) Open the regedit tool (Start -> Run -> regedit.exe )
2) Use the navigation in the left and go to HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
3) Double click the DisablePagingExecutive attribute, and put 1 in the decimal value field
This will make the drivers and the XP kernel run in memory.
For Mr. Andrew go and read "Operating System Concepts" by Galvin.
