@ bluff : Wth please keep your generalization to yourself.

We (almost my whole college+school circle + my family) don't have anything against South Indian's, in fact 40% of our group would be comprised of them. Southies biasing against northies yes i have seen that but not a lot of them do that.

As for Auto-wallahs they are a PITA everywhere you go

Well actually i am trying to make a generalized statement here. Its you who is trying to make this a north indian vs south indian thing. I have nothing against the south indians , all i am trying to say is that Indians on a whole are racist. I would be lying if i say that i have never made fun of "madrasies" or "chinkis" or "negros" and so would you. Racism is racism even if its done with a humorous side to it. And for the last time please stop with this north vs south sh1t. I do not believe in divisions , i see everybody as an indian first and i certainly don't HATE anybody :|

Bangalore is a cosmopolitan city!no worries! In few years ,it will be like bombay .but the problem is ,still people there prefer to speak kannada(I appreciate it) unlike bombay ,where Hindi is the Lingo :)

Can I manage with hindi in Bangalore? I do know a bit of tamil too, heard quite a few people speaking tamil there...

Hindi works almost anywhere in Hyd.

Hindi/English....pretty much doable.

I know few basic words in Kannada, and numbers from 1 - 10. I manage easily with that.

Others: Please start a new thread for race wars. Don't crap this thread.

I spent 3 years in Blore without knowing Kannada, Whenever someone used to speak in kannada to me, I used to tell "KANNADA GOTT ILLA "

^^Same here... those are the only three words I know. Frankly I'd like to learn the language but where is the time :(.

You can manage with hindi easily. Blr is a very cosmopolitan place, and the locals are friendly. As long as you are polite with people, they usually respond in the same way ( i guess thats the case anywhere, not just in Bangalore :) )

Almost everybody knows english in bangalore , i have even seen beggars beg in english there :P Don't worry you'll be fine man.

Dammit, are we all kissing and making up? WTF is this? At least flame each other properly...

I hate northies and their ****all delhi bhaiya attitude, go drive a rikshaw punks, you can't code to save your lives. Hope they die.

I hate southies and their yadlee sambhar "aiyo machcha" attitude. Hope they drown in their own coconut oil food. Hope they die.

Now come and flame me. Mwa ha ha ha !!

Btw, I live in Blore and its a nice place. People are friendly, autowallas are bastards. The unemployed, semi-literate class are anti - northie. The literate ones don't give a shit. Same case everywhere. Unemployed retards go amok over imaginary enemies. Oh well, comes with being a developing country I guess..
