I got a situation here... Im interested in joining yoga (summer batch 2 and half weeks) and i just paid gym fee for three months. I dunno that they started teaching yoga near by my place now im confused? Should I do Yoga Before or after working out?

nope...you are wrong...its basically breathing exercise(pranayama)....other positions were later added which were named as asanas.....so if you doing only breathing exercise then u do it any time....but if you are planning to combine on asanas then better do it in the morning and do gym in the evening....if u have time for both.....

You better consult your yoga trainer on this. Combining both is tricky, and you need someone qualified to help you out on this

1st batch Yoga timings : Daily Monday to Saturday 6:45Am To 7:45Am
2nd batch '' '' : Only on sundays 9:00 Am to 12 ( in this batch they are also conducting some classes on time management and other stuff anyways i will skip other classes and focus on yoga! :cool2:

Gym Timings: i can go whenever i want but i prefer mornings! :P

what should i do now? Yoga sundays and daily work out @ gym????? HELP!

Isn't yoga also about stretching? I work out almost daily.. either running/boxing/ or Thai kickboxing or a combination of those things. It is important to stretch a little before you work out....... but not optimal to do most of it whilst your muscles are still stiff and cold... so it is usually considered better to do the majority of your harder stretching after you have worked out when your muscles are warmed up and looser.

many yogasan are just stretching and static holds.....if performed b4 waight training they might unstable the joints[knee\elbow\sholder...etc].......weight training is more taxing......and yoga is more relaxing.....better perform yoga after ur workout session ....15 min will do wonder......rather then morning-evening split.

45 min workout

15 min yoga.....

it will have much better effect on ur workout...it will boost ur recovery ability...
