@Davidboon - Have you tried out Corel Painter? It mimics traditional media very well, & imo is much more fun than PS for digi painting, esp. for someone used to working in traditional media. Just check it out if you can.

The second image is still work in progress, I have to change a few things in it. Done in Maya, Digital Fusion & Photoshop. Have used textures only on the number plate and a displacement map for the tyres. Rest is all shaders. Hope you like it

Hey w1nD, Nice work there.

One thing you should try though is keeping it low poly in max and taking it to a sculpting package like zbrush and adding the details there, then using a normal or displacement mapping. That way you'll have more control on details and much much better results.

Ended up very high poly untill I cut down and made it a little too low poly, still I'm pretty happy with it for my first attempt.

EDIT: I will kill anyone who says that this is a 575

how to embed youtube videos?? i dont seem to be able to do it using bbcode or code.

Embedding I have no idea. Maybe the system broke when the admins upgraded the forums, you might want to ask them.
 
Posting here a new art form.

Let me Present you my new creation Ms. Loofie .Her name derived from a the main ingredient used in her creation which is loofah.


I had these loofahs lying in my home .I picked one of them and Loofie started taking shape.


Loofie was born on 2nd June 2012.She is entirely made up using loofah except her hand portion which is a grass fruit.


She is cute and charming.Moreover She is 100% Eco friendly.
