Well Even I had a tough time with Singapore Airlines while traveling back from Melbourne to Hyd.
That Check in fellow forgot stick the tag for my luggage and left the bag there itself. So when I landed in hyd but my bag was not there.That was my first trip so all the lot of things i bought are there in the luggage.
Pathetic response from Singapore Airlines.No body in cust care responded and I asked my friends in OZ to contact the their locally and but no use. Initially they don't know where my luggage.First they said it went to some europe country and later they said it is in melbourne and that fellow forgot to put a sticker to it.
I tried to escalate the issue but i haven't got any numbers/emails in their site. I tried through my company contacts and it went to the same person with whom i'm talking.
Every day i called them for my luggage and they hung the phone saying they haven't had any clue for my luggage. This lasted for 15 days. I asked for compensation and they said they will pay mere 2k for the 15 days delay as per their rules. I said this is outrageous and I said you people charge $25 for extra per 1kg baggage but while your fault you are saying like this.They are saying 2k for delay irrespective of number of day..Really pathetic...I faced lot of nervous about my luggage during those 15 days as i brought lot of items for my family and to my friends of course, no electronics items....
Sing Airlines is good and you feel good in plane i.e their hospitality but when issue comes their customer care is very pathetic and I have decided not to travel again with that airlines.
On flip side, friends and team mates are asking about choc and when i said my baggage is missing some thought i'm cooking story to avoid giving chocolates
. Really bad experience..
Bye the way next time i travelled by fly emirates to sydney and the journey was very good..
even though travel time is more. only downside is you won't get good veg food while traveling from dubai to sydney..
