Slow DL speed on Airtel BB ????

I have the UL 999 512kbps plan from Airtel.

For the last 3-4 weeks, the DL speed during the day has been constantly @18-19kb/s and at night its around 40-42kb/s in uTorrent. Called Airtel CC last week and as usual the only excuse was the earthquake in Taiwan.

Any other airtel user experiencing slow DL speed ? :huh: :huh:

Same goes for me too.... The speed sometimes touches 15KBps .. for UL999 256Kbps Plan.
 
I guess Delhi & Northern region is affected... 'coz my Home999 UL (256 kbps) is giving me same speeds as always... not even the speed burst during day time as some users are getting....
 
Same here in delhi experiencing low speeds.... talk about bandwidth increase. But as it goes my standard line.... Airtel Sucks.
 
I've been getting slow speeds ever since that Taiwan earthquake.

The Airtel reps have been saying that the problem will be resolved latest by today.

Well, no improvements here in Chandigarh.
 
Yes, me to experiencing slow speeds, max is about 35kbps in u torrent even at night!!!! Thinking of getting bsnl now. :o
 
Anyone knows someone in Airtel where we can send our grievances/complaint, preferably someone in the higher management to voice our concern. This has been going on for about 3-4 weeks now which is not acceptable.
 
Guy's are those TRAI rules about "min. bandwidth promised" implemented.... If they are then I think you can ask for some waiver in rental if problem is not resolved in 2-3 days....
 
Trai rules are worth nothing. All they do is set proud rules and when the ISP's don't follow them, they do nothing.

They should replace it if its not pinging... Call helpline & lodge a complaint then when they send a technecian tell him to replace the MODEM.... He will do it instantaniously... :D

I changed two 220BX.. Mine & a friends.. While mine was not sending ping.... his was burnt in a lightening storm... I called the technecian & told him to change...... My friend didn't lodged any complaints but he was at my place & asked the guy to change his MODEM as well which was done instantly.... no question asked.....:ohyeah: :ohyeah:
