smartphone under 20k

i am looking for a phone which satisfy my following taste

1. decent music playback
2. good screensize for web surfing
3. wifi - i travel a lot
4. good thirdparty softwares for increasing productivity
5. ability to use phone advance gprs on my laptop
6. as always - light, good looking, voice clarity and long battery life
7. camera 3MP would do. memory 4gb would do.

was thinking for n82 but surfing on a touch phone is much better experience. iphone would do most of the stuff but then it cannot connect to my lappy. htc touch seems like an alternative??

budget: 20k + 2k if needed

yeah but i could find surfing better with stylus and opera mini.... what say? but again typing in a touch phone is a pain

well, compared to a simple numeric keypad i find the onscreen keypad better.
but yeah compared to qwerty keyboard , you need to get the stylus out most times :(

Not with some of the latest touch-pads available on Windows mobile. Try the all-new Diamond keypad. Its wonderful for stylus free usage :)

IMO N82 is the best option. You could also check out SE G900 which has a touch screen but then it lacks EDGE so browsing speeds won't be very fast.

i think P1i is also a decent choice...it has all the features u mentioned, an thers a new model which comes with gps.
should be aroun 20k but plz chk the price...
it comes bundled with a 1gb m2 card..expandable to 4gb

look for Nokia e71, nice reviews. Retails for around 19k.

well, yeah i hv tried that. but i hate the fact that i cant see what i type :( a hardware keypad is a far better options.

yeah one thing to note about any windows mobile with touchscreen, the battery life will last u a day but don't expect miracles. it has got a 2.8 inch screen to power

Ofcourse. But it is the next best thing to having a hardware QWERTY.

Umm..Not so true..Depends on the device as well as the battery. My Wizard runs for four-five days with very little use and about full 2 days otherwise.

yeah that is agreed.

i use the Gene which lasts me about a day.
but then i have a pretty heavy usage.
a hour or so of calling, not much net surfing but yeah about two-three hours of ebooks a day plus some music playback.

there is just 1 choice dude. trust me

NOKIA E71.

this is the 1st nokia phone that i have liked in my life. rest all suck including the N series according to me.

this is the best looking & performing nokia phone ever. period.

just go & check the reviews online. i have never seen any phone get such positive reviews.

its going for 20.3k official. i have ordered 1 myself :)

sony does not have much software support.... less expandability...

htc looks good, dont know how much the diamond retail for... 25k??? touch is around 15k at alpha... but touch has a weak proci and a bad battery life..

n82.. how long the battery last..??? rest all specs are good enough.. i would have go for apple but u cannot use gprs to connect to pc and surf...

e71 i bulky and not good opinions by people at gsmarena.... any other nokia or windows mobile counterpart i should check out..????

regards

diamond might have a very gud procy, but as far as battery life is concerned it is worse than touch.

N82 has decent battery..one day with moderateusage..if needed, take another battery and keep...or take a portable charger..

e71 is bulky? its 10mm thick dude. what phone are u looking at. its smaller & thinner than a iphone & also the htc diamond i think.

also the gsmarena guys have given the phone an amazing review & so have all the other sites i checked.

n82 battery is very good .. man, how can u compare such a gem of phone with other ones:S .. neo , if u have budget then simply get it .. best nokia phone till date .. super fantastic all rounder ..:hap2: :hap2:

and someone here mentioning one particular phone generating good reviews , show me one review where n82 is not recommended ..but then again both are different catergory phones .. anyways n82 should not be compared with any phones till date leaving forthcoming samsung innov8 ..

and million dollar question abt keypad .. no issues at all .. very productive .. ones u get used to it, u will know its worth ..
