I was talking about reversing Credit Card transactions. Similar to when tickets are refunded or when Google/Appla/PayPal, etc charge money to verify cards.
This is more personal as I haven't paid cash for a phone for over 6 years. Usually EMI's. Cash is good to start with as it's probably the safest for you. Once you get a some traffic you should definitely consider the CC option.

Its an interesting idea especially when one has a number of gadgets to consider.I understand that nothing really has been done in this area and therefore it's a bare road with no laid out steps to follow. I am not really sure of the market response but from what I gather, one might want to rent a gadget for various reasons.
