Sonoff Alternatives??

I'm using a bunch of Sonoff Basics for automated outdoor lighting. They're wired in series with the wall switch for manual control.

Tasmota is configured to turn on by default when power is supplied/restored. I'm not using timers on Tasmota.

The automatic control is through Node-RED which turns off the lights 15 mins before sunrise and turns them on 15 mins before sunset.

They're also configured to turn on and stay on for 15mins after a power outage during the day or if someone turns off the wall switch and turns it back on during the day — that's for if we need lights on during the day for any reason.

Node-RED control is through a wildcard outdoor-lights MQTT subtopic and monitoring of Uptimesec to see how long the light has been on during the day so that it can turned off after 15 mins.

installing them today.

I have scheduled my Sonoff Mini R4 to turn on at 6 PM every day. However, if there is no electricity at that time, it can't turn on. Assuming power comes back at 6:10 PM, it should automatically turn on, but it doesn't. I have to manually turn it on from the eWeLink app.

What setting do I need to change?

are you using anything to manage them? like home assistant etc.

if not, what you need to do is install IFFT app on your phone, and configure it such.
IF Date & Time, Everyday at.... 6:10PM
THEN Chose eWeLink Select Turn on and select your device.

I don't use any apps like eWeLink etc. so i don't know much about these, everything in my house is controlled by HomeAssistant and automation and scripts are triggered through it.
you can also check if eWeLink has Advanced Scheduling so you can create multiple schedules lets say one at your default 6PM, another at 6:10PM and another at 6:15PM and so on.

Guys I need a retrofit smart dimmer (wifi or matter) for a bunch of ceiling mounted leds that are way to bright.

Any recommendations of something that can be flashed with tasmota or something that plugs into home assistant?

The smarteefi ones are just switches or can they dim led lights as well?

You need dimmable lights to be able to dim them. Not all lights are

Oh. I thought all LED lights are dimmable. Is there a way to ascertain if the in-ceiling wipro led light I have is dimmable or net? google results aren’t providing any answer

Didn't know where else to share this so posting here

Homemate IR hub is a tuya based IR blaster (BK7231N, CB3S), that can be flashed with OpenBeken (tasmota derivative or ESPHome) via tuya cloudcutter.
Select manufacturer : Tuya Generic > select device : Universal IR blaster CB3S under.

Hello, bumping this thread as i dint know where else to post.

Have been using Leccy Genisis, since few years as a Sonoff alternative as I have very low skill and time when it comes to flashing things.
Few lights in 1 room on dimming. These are triac dimmable lighting. Works well. Smartlife also supports my BT lights. But L&G's good models supports a limited number of mounting plates.
Someone here said it has few locks from china. Which is true, they source many things from China and re-engineer many items. There service in Chandigarh is excellent with 3-year on-site service within 48hours. Not promoting Leccy here, but just shared my experience.

But I want to check out options now which are Home-assistant compatible by default. Because everyone's is talking about HA. And I don't know if Smartlife china privacy. although most brands are dealing with china except Osum. But Osum only has wired automation.
Now I am doing a bigger room renovation in the house. Wired automation was my first preference but the structure does'nt allow any re-wiring.

What can I buy in wireless automation with good pre-sales and post-sales?
I have got Crabtree Signia Smart (app is like smartlife but doesn't show hundreds of item options which smartlife "add device" does.
Goldmedal iOT (seems like a smartlife based app, but haven't tested it with Ledos BT-sigmeshlighting (which is my preferred lighting brand).
Really confused here.
Q1: Can sonoff installation be easy? Any dealer of Sonoff in Chandigarh who can explain me things?
Q2: I want switches which should turn on-off and dim even if power cut happens. Power cuts are frequent here.
Q3: Should support adding Bluetooth sigmesh lighting into the same app

But this seems only the backend. Where's the switch (front end) or will it work with Indian bell-push switches?
How to operate lights on-off dimming if wifi drops?
I shall contact them
Any trusted seller to buy Shelly switches from (in India)?

Ill drop them an email for reselling puposes. Companies usually send their best people to our showrooms, they demo everything to us, and they give us training incase we enroll as a dealer. (long process though :( )
