ha ok got it, I have this option enabled, just checked the yaml
but somehow the climate_ir_lg platform is inconsistent and does not register the commands many times
so I have added Each button IR code commands from the remote and configured it as shown below and this works perfectly since this also update the IR Climate entity card

Every single Sonoff Basic device of mine died during the last power surge we had, the neutral wire had fell off the pole (again), making all three phases unbalanced and fluctuate wildly.

I'm going to be adding fuses and a mov to each to all of the replacements now.

Here it is, the first version of Sonoff Pow and it has fuse inside as well. Working fine for years without any issue. We have around 25+ Sonoff IoT switches at our home and none of them ever gave any issue.
Accidents are bound to happen, and chances of happening it increases with the cheap Tuya based brands. Be careful while choosing any brand.
