And just a pointer, before we start worrying about the price,and how the money will be transferred could you please start a new GO thread or modify this thread and put up detailed and Accurate detailsabout the deal itself..?

details include but not limited to,

1.Dealer's name, location

2.Offer (Price and items included in the offer)

3.A dynamically updated list of interested members in the GO (put my name in.. :D)

4.What kind of warranty will be on the phone.(mention it even if the warranty is only available in US/UK).

I see interest here ,

@psycho911 i was worried about the Payment thing because i don't use NEFT and only payment form would be Master Card Money transfere which can be done via any Credit Card , the sole reason being i dont want any trouble while filing my return and i would first check the Import laws of india and then Open a GO thread after i am fully satisfied .

also if you pay via cash , i would have to pay card by my own cash and hence IT department would disturb me !

I won't Be conducting a Group order , since some one From my family Has got A new Phone for me Already !! It's an B.B , will see if i can get it Returned , but would be Sharing the Details for All of you , first find someone who will use his Card , i won't get into this Hassles since i don't Want any trouble !

Either way is fine with me mate.What ever u'r more comfortable with. But just to inform you, Thanks to the *strict* :hehe: laws in india, the IT department won't really hunt you down if you take payment as cash/NEFT/Mastercard transactions.

But What if we don't have a credit card.....??

I bet you must have thought of a way to pay other than cash my friend.at this point even PayPal might work.

I'v been scouring the net on info on the xperia play the last 2 hours, and though i like the PSP controls, i'v noticed that the graphics for most games are quite bad in comparison to the one's that might have been available say, on a tegra 2 system.

So, just wondering, if you guys know about any way to keep the stock ROM but use an OC'd kernel? so s to improve performance of the phone.

That works out to about 14k per person.(excluding courier) Please open up a GO thread with links to the dealer so we can get more buyers. We need minimum 10 i presume..?

EDIT:Could you tell me which case it is..? I'd be delighted if it turns out to be an otterbox.. :D or aegis case

I don't Think Creating a GO would be a Good Idea , because here is the calculation

here is the Pricing

1766 For all 10 units Shipped To India VIA DHL - taking the Current exchange rate and the 3.5 % surchage And service tax on top of it - 1,45,000 (approx )

i.e 14 ,500 per Unit

I heard somewhere duty is 2.3 % but there are overheads such as additional duty which make it go around 10 %

so the price is 14500 + duty + Local Shipping

which includes

Xperia PLay - 8 gb card

All accessories it would be a sealed box , unless customs open it .

Gamer pack (google it ) - it includes dock , 3 game voucher and one more thing

scratch Guard

and a case

anyone from Delhi - no NCR only Delhi - Can contact me , who is ready to order for everyone and 10 people are willing to buy at 14500 + duties + his Surchage + local shipping

yes , the person placing the order should be in delhi , won't take any headache for shipping but will definitely help the person placing the order , its his wish if he wants to ship to other parts or not

also accordingly i inquired a few things

Roughly local shipping is 180-200 rs + 2 % insurance that is 300 rs , shipping local will cost 200 uninsured and 500 insured !!

14500 is without duties , now the main part

left unanswered is

Customs , i did heard @ many places customs is 2.3 % , let me find someone from other forums who will be interested !
