Hello guys, can any one throw light on the newly launched ex520 from sony ?. Is it better than ex600. Cuz in a sony showroom a 32" ex600 looked brighter and sharper than the 40" ex520.

Moreover i heard that the TVs which are sold through retail Channel in India (made for India) are of inferior quality when compared with TVs sold in other places like singapore, Malaysia.. Is this true ?. And the Indian versions lack some features like wifi, divx according to the grey market guys...

i am aware that the ex520 lacks motionflow which the ex600 features. But the former is equipped with x-reality engine and is loaded with impressing features like wifi, etc... (Doubt whether the Indian model is packed with all these). Singapre webisite lists ex600 as featuring wifi.

Initially i thought the klv models are inferior ones and all the kld ones come with wifi. But subseuently in BURMA BAZAAR ( Chennai) I found ex710 which is a kld one which lacks wifi... Very confused..

The Indian website lists both the above models with the same MRP. So IMO the ex520 must be a successor for the ex600 except for the motionflow which is not important for me as i watch only movies...

Plz enlighten me guys..

The EX600 lacks motionflow.

The EX520 does indeed have a new image processing. Both the EX520 and EX710 only have optional wifi, meaning you need to put a usb based wifi dongle.

There is no version called KLD its called KDL.

The 2010 KDL models were indeed superior to the KLV version interms of features. But they have the same quality.

The KLV models are sold in many parts of asia india included.

Its still unclear as to what feature the 2011 KDL models launched by Sony India lack compared to the KDL models sold elsewhere in asia.
here is the list of Sony 2011 models thats most likely to be launched in india. Sony Redefines Television With New BRAVIAâ„¢ LCD HDTV Line : Regional Press Releases : Sony Asia Pacific

The european and US KDL versions are confirmed to have a opera web browser and USB HDD recording. While its unclear whether the indian and asian version have them.
