IMO 4 inch Screen with physical keypad is a rare and tough to find combo. You might have a look at Galaxy Chat but its screen size is 3 inches only.

There are very few phones with physical keyboard. Some of them are Samsung Galaxy Pro - 2.8 Inch screen - 2 years old model, Galaxy Chat - 3 inch screen - recent model, HTC Chacha - 2.6 inches screen - 2 years old model, Sony Xperia Mini Pro - 3 Inch screen - 2 years old model, Xperia Pro - 3.7 Inch screen - 2 years old model.

All the models you quoted are above the OP's range! At 5k i think its hard to find the phone you are looking for unless you go for a used one!

For 5k, I don't think there is an Android phone to give you decent performance. Just my opinion. For other OS, i think at this budget, the new Asha ranges are the best options

Did you have a look at the Nokia Asha 501? It comes in candy colors as well. Might appeal to women.

Our in-house phone expert and ex-Moderator Dhruv (not active on the forums nowadays) has published a review. Take a look - http://www.fonearena.com/blog/73975/nokia-asha-501-review.html

For under 5k, this looks like a worthy device. I haven't had a hands-on yet so can't comment on the UI, display and the touch sensitivity. There is no 3G however.

At 7K you can get 2 more choices. Xolo A500 and Huawei Ascend Y300. Both are identical in terms of specs but Y300 runs Android Jelly Bean, brand better known than Xolo and presence of service centers.

A friend - forgot his TE id - had been to the launch. As of now - WhatsApp is not available for this device - they said it would be available soon - might be a small bump. Also have a look at the 301 and 207 phones.

If you dont mind getting a phone without warranty - a Captivate would be better - The cappy was available for 8K new after discount coupons sometime back on ebay.[DOUBLEPOST=1372880908][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, forgot to mention - buidl quality of the 501 is apparently awesome.
