VoLTE and VoWiFi DOES NOT WORK

A really great phone, amazing camera app and video, 4k display, exceptional speakers. Has a dual sim+ micro sd slot and a capable headphone jack. Absence of VoLTE is the reason i'm selling it :(
Also lighter and narrower than most current flagships, easier to operate with one hand.

Price discussions only in pm, please don't clutter the thread

Weird why Volte wont work. Is there any reason why it wont work?
Sony only works with specific carriers in specific countries for some reason. For eg it'll work with t mobile in the usa but not canada. The VoLTE is region and carrier dependant. Airtel, VI etc will work but not Jio. Previous 1 ii you could just flash the sea rom to get it anywhere but this time around doesn't work :(

Oh my bad, i meant the networks that are not dependent on VoLTE entirely will work unlike Jio which cannot work without VoLTE. Sorry for error.

okay so basically you are saying , the phone wont work with jio at all and it will work with airtel and VI but won't support 4G data , right?

so how will you use internet if 4G doesn't work?o_O
4G works but VoLTE and VoWiFi doesn't, Tested on airtel and VI both calling and 4g data works but Jio wont work cuz it entirely depends on VoLTE for calling

So it will work with Airtel postpaid? And how will it be different from a normal phone that supports volte?

LTE data still works and functions as normal if your phone supports LTE but not VoLTE.

The difference is that your connection (including voice/texts/data) will drop to 3G when you make a phone call. This means that you will experience slower speeds and higher latency while a call is active. However, your phone will almost instantaneously switch back to LTE and its higher speeds the moment you hang up.

which network were you using with this phone?
also if i am not wrong most service providers bill 3G data differently than 4g right?
i remember seeing 100 MB of 3g data for 99 bucks or something so will i be paying more for the 3g data when using this phone?

i really wanted to buy this phone but then found out sony isnt gonna sell this here and have basically stopped selling phones in india, but i didnt knew about the network limitations.

I tried Airtel and Vi, service providers dont bill 4g and 3g differently. Its only gonna switch to 3g during calls, back to 4g immediately after you end the call. Since Jio is my main sim I can't use this phone, was planning to switch from s22u to this but its not meant to be :(
