Sony also announced the Xperia ZL which is the most compact 5inch Full HD smartphone.
It's smaller than Galaxy S3 in fact.
It lacks water/dust resistance like the Z, but gets an IR blaster so you can use it as a remote for your TV, home theater and other gear. Also it doesn't have a glass back as the Z and uses slightly less premium materials.
Z will be available by March in India, and ZL should come around April.
