Spice Mi 410 smartphone. 1Ghz snapdragon | 4.1" | Froyo | 5MP | 15K

I'm more interested in this phone than the Skate. Definitely has the possibility to be the next ZTE Blade. But for that, it's got to be priced at giveaway prices in the UK/US for a sizeable android scene to gather at Modaco or XDA. I certainly hope that's the case!!

And if this is like the XCD 35 (started at 16k, now available at 10k), hopefully prices should drop and common men like me can afford it. :)

This device is already out in some parts of the world (Wellcomm a99).

Huawei has not released the source of this device for some reason.

It would get fast widespred adoptation by community only if they release the source code, not sure whether Spice or Olive will do that.

Phone looks amazing and the price is also attractive, does any one know in mumbai where do you get spice phones like this since i havent seen them in most retailing shops here??

the phone is available already in Malaysia and Indonesia from a provider named CSL. The sell it as CSL MI 410.

I guess CSL and Spice are the same since I am finding all spice phones under CSL as well.

The phone is Huawei X6. In Indonesia it is called wellcomm a99.

Any idea whether any operator released the kernel source?

its not the same snapdragaon which comes with other branded 1GHZ mobiles like Nexus 1 , instead its a weaker version of it not even sure it will be able to play flash if not then Galaxy ACE @14k-15k is much superior then this device .

It is actually better then the snapdragon that comes with 'branded' mobiles like Nexus one

The same chipset that comes in handsets like desire HD,Nexus S,Arc and Play

N one : QSD 8250 : Adreno 200

Spice: MSM 8255: Adreno 205

After months of just looking at pics of this phone, i finally got to hold it in my hand in a Spice outlet yesterday at Nehru Place. Felt heavier than i thought it would be and that's without the battery inside ! Time to talk to my finance minister :p

SO how is th ecommunity support for this?

are there any cooked roms available yet? I know it is a little early but still am inquisitive..

if the community support is starting then it is time for me to get one..:)

Browsing te on it now.:D Excuse me while I go pay the "Top 10 android apps" thread a visit:D

--- Updated Post - Automerged ---

No custom roms so far as I know. Some of us have to take the plunge without knowing for sure if there will ever be a community support like for other popular phones.
